Well I am now in the process of buying flat so no optics for the Savage. I might shoot it with fixed sights next weekend though. Taking sniper rifle with fixed sights to the range would probably lead to some raised eyebrows.
Not that I would not be used to that. Everything usually stops when I do 3 mag dumps in a row (people come asking whether it’s full auto) or when I set the ZB.26 up

Well they are right. Walls don’t work to keep people out. Historically most defensive walls and fortification chains were used as or with a military road and as a barrier to concentrate armies and to prevent a fleeing raiding force re-entering in the future.
For this use walls are very good, but the will to slaughter people wholescale is probably lacking.

No doubt a wall along the southern border could be scaled with effort, but mass swarms like the ones that happened in 2012 where people walked across in the thousands would not be possible, and if the wall had proper security along with regular patrols, motion sensors, and cameras, scaling the wall successfully would be a bitch. Would guarantee a drop successful illegal crossings.

Also helps when you don’t offer social benefits paid for by the tax payers to anyone who can make it over illegally.
If any contact with the government ends with forceful deportation, you don’t need to adjust your welfare system in a way preventing misuse by illegal foreigners.

The metal case was a bitch to get open. Had to use a hammer and screwdriver, then used wire cutters to sort of peal the metal back, took me around 10 minutes just to get one of the boxes out.
