Troll cave II

It’s complete nonsense, just blind nationalism at its finest. He calls the mg-42 “inaccurate”, based off a bullshit account of a British solider who claimed he was being shot at for over 4 hours, at a range of 70 meters by a German machine gunner, and was not hit once. If the story was true, then the German machine gunner was either blind, or had no interest in killing the Brit bong.

He also says the Mg-42, and Mg-34 are the same guns, which is nonsense, Mg-42 heavier and was used in a more stationary defensive role, while the mg-34 was lighter often used the way light machine guns are used by solider’s today. He says that the allies won the war because the British had the better machine gun again laughable.

He goes on to say that since the Mg-42 wasn’t used after the war, and the sten was, the sten must be better. Even though many countries used the mg-42 even up until the 80s, and i believe Germany uses an upgraded version (mg-3) today.

The Mg-42 and Mg-34 were arguably the best machines guns of the war, they were very accurate and had an insanely high rate of fire especially when compared to other machine guns.

Both the mg-34 and Mg-42 were far better than the allied machine guns, and that’s coming from a very patriotic American.

Not only germany, it is around 10, maybe even 15 countries as far as I know. And it is not “commenwealth”, selling own old stuff to puppets.

When I was in the army, we even had some MG3 who were former MG42. The 42 was X-ed out and replaced by a 3. And this was in… um… 2004?

Lindy also didn´t talked about some of the great advantages of the Spandau. You even can use it a squad AA gun. Not a chance with the Bren.

Yeah the video overall was very poor, and extremely biased. He should stick to talking about swords, he know’s fuck all about guns.

Did I fuck it looks pony .

I’m only interested in the historical titles . Waiting for an empire 2 or Victorian age spanning the globe or at least a sizeable chunk

Did you ever play fall of the samurai? It’s late 19th century, fucking great game although towards the end of the campaign you utterly destroy the enemy army with armstrong guns, and naval bombardments before they can even reach you.

Bren was often used as AA gun. But then… trump this

Well, there is a reason why german soldiers picked up this gun if they could. It was good.

What has PPSH submachine gun to do with British soldiers?

My bad, your picture didn’t show up so i assumed you were talking about the sten. I quite like the PPSH, although i assume it would really only be effective in close quarters, but this is just based off my experiences in red orchestra.

Though M3 “Greaser” wasn’t much nicer to be honest… Sterling looks somehow cool.
Yeah, I loved PPSH in RO too!

Yeah i wont argue with you there, looks like a damn caulk gun.

I actually preferred the mp40, less recoil, and a lot better for long range. The Stg is also pretty good.

BREN is Czech design, just made in Britain under license (all localization was done by Czech engineers who traveled to Britain too).

If nationalism, then quite a misguided one.

Too bad that they already ran out of the € 200 Russian ones and have only € 500 Finnish in stock left.

I don’t see any purpose for having one but still I must admit it is tempting.

Check out his Cromwell tank video, he is very biased towards “English” weaponry. He even credited the Bren for wining the war for allies. I’m also pretty sure he doesn’t even mention the Bren being a Czech design, although i could be mistaken, i doubt it seeing how 90% of what comes out his mouth in that video is horse shit.

not only weaponry.
He also made a video about how english has the best spelling system.
Which is complete bullshit.

The guy seems to miss the entire point of a light support weapon .

The Brens biggest flaw was always that it was too acruate . You simply could not put down a blanket of fire with it which is the job of a light machine gun .

He is correct the MG-42 wasn’t that acruate it wasn’t designed to be . It’s arguably the best machine gun ever made because it could cover an area with a constant stream of rounds like nothing else before or after it (apart from a mini gun ) .

If we are going off acruacy then yes the Bren wins every time . Buts that’s not the job of a light support weapon.

The story of the German machine gunner may well be true . The German did his job perfectly he pinned down the guy for 4 hours . That’s a pretty decent machine gunner to me .
