But seriously, this was somehow expectable. Erdogan pissed off some people, he is a control freak, and some generals clearly don´t like this. You can´t control a country without the will of the army. I think Erdogan wanted to cut off some peoples power and this is now what happened. The question is only: who are they? Who is taking control now?

This is now very bad . You cannot coup with little support , if it loses the country is ruined . A situation where the government cannot control its military is the lowest it gets .
Apparently the coup’s key figures were shot down by F 16 while traveling in an army helicopter.
Apparently we have now given 7 combat helicopters to Libyan National Army via UAE.

Seems like Turkish people helped a lot in stopping the coup.

Reichstag fire was set up by Hitler to frame the communists so the german president game him extra emergency powers which he then used to purge his opposition and build the frame work for his dictatorship .

Is this the same Libya that is almost entirely controlled by ISIS?
Makes you wonder they were even retreating if the people they were fighting were such horrendous shots.
Agreed the whole thing is fishy, also why would the president immediately rush to a city full of hostile troops trying to over throw him? Or even get in an airplane when the sky is full of hostile jets?
It’s that part of Libya that actively fights ISIS in the country.
