The problem in Prague is that there are too many tourist - focused dealers who are selling… well who knows what it is but it surely has nothing illegal in it.

The only way cops can take some in is building their case and then charging the dealer with … wait for it … FRAUD

But since no tourist is interested in testifying let alone staying for the proceedings, the business mostly runs uninterrupted.

it sounds ridiculous theyd try another coup.

But it seems they do want their little civil war

Classy Czech Republic:

Dealers using original ambulance car that they legally bought. Trafficking drugs with sirens. One dealer plays the driver, other plays the patient lying in the back in case cops would stop them. But hell what kind of cop would try to stop an ambulance?

But what really caught my eye in this story are the guns they had with them.

I thought pretty much every drug is legal there, why the need for the sneakiness?

It is legal to posses “small amount” of drugs. It is also legal to grow the kind of drugs that may be grown (for own use). It is also legal to purchase.

But sale is illegal, so is possession of “amount larger than small”.

I.e. the police go after dealers but leave everyone else alone.

That seems kinda dumb, i mean if you’re legalizing it might as well let people make money right? There’s a pot shop on pretty much every corner where i live now.

These are considered “small amounts”

Marijuana 15 grams (or five plants)
Hashish 5 grams
Magic mushrooms 40 pieces
Peyote 5 plants
LSD 5 tablets
Ecstasy 4 tablets
Amphetamine 2 grams
Methamphetamine 2 grams
Heroin 1.5 grams
Coca 5 plants
Cocaine 1 gram

I agree with you.

Unfortunatelly we are under strong pressure from other EU countries not to go as far. Especially Germany.

Drugs are not really a problem in the Czech Republic but they are increasingly becoming a problem in neighboring countries. Especially Vietnamese gangs grow Cannabis and make LSD and export it around Europe in huge amounts.

That being illegal is price we pay for having open borders with our neighbors. If we had closed borders we could take position of “fuck that, let everyone do what they want” as it was before 1998.

Is that medical marijuana or free-for-all?

Free for all, before it was officially legalised they just called themselves “medical shops” but now its pretty much treated like alcohol. Some family is trying to open a weed “super store”. [quote=“snejdarek, post:1273, topic:27880”]

My state is currently being sued by several neighbouring states because they’re saying after my state legalised it, they are getting tons flooding into their states.

A bit like our laws on prostitution . Completely legal to pay for sex , completely legal to accept money for sex .

But it’s illegal to advertise your offering of sex in exchange of cash . And it’s illegal to go out and actively search for such an arrangement .

Apart from certain areas where police have agreed to look the other way to prostitutes . Between 7pm and 7am in exchange they report dodgy blokes .

Its a right knicker twister

Well reading all this actually makes me feel better about my own government, it seems they aren’t the only ones in the first world to make absolutely retarded laws.

Here it is all completely legal. Just procuring - pimping is illegal with heavy jail time sentences.

Which always pisses me off when someone comes here and says “oh, there’s so much crime in the country” - “what crime” “drugs available everywhere, brothels in the city”

Yeah well if someone doesn’t like that then perhaps they shouldn’t visit a country where it is legal.

Something positive for a change.
