Not much. I know I listen parent’s Beatles and Doors LP, and that all stuff in all shops were the same (well that goes for cars and almost everything). There was only one type of cafe f.e. I remember, you buy it in the shop and then use el. mill near the exist. The smell of that and the sound of 8 mill together is something I remember well : -)

most despise it, but some loved it there. You could say that life could be more simpler than now.

Are serious? I take capitalism with all it’s flaws.
Though some older (mainly but not only) people sometimes repeating “at least everybody had work” and such. And some even deny communists crimes but that’s few I would say. For now… our president kinda support the latter in my eyes.
You should come speak to the collage kids here in the U.S. They think the Soviet union was sunshine and rainbows, communism is great, and that everything bad that happened was " made up Western propaganda".

But if anyone near you thinks that USSR was great - we had mines and el. fences to protect anyone gets out of the country. Sure soldiers will shoot at you if you try and beat you to unconsciousness during interrogation if they catch you. Single person and it’s needs were nothing, meant nothing.

Nope, I am from Düsseldorf in western Germany.
They just claim that is all a lie, and was made up. You can see people denying the holocausts that took place in the Soviet Union in videos i posted in here.
speaking seriously i think communism was much worse for us than the nazi occupation.
While being occupied by nazis we had common enemy and so we kept together but under communism we were against each other and so our nation degraded.
