No. Did you play Mafia. Saving is very similar to that, while you could also kill yourself in there if you were not cautious. You also do not have to fast travel and you can avoid ambushers. If you die in mission, you should consider replaying but first upgrade your skills. You could only equip better weapons or use better tactics in Mafia. It’s not directed to you specifically but many complain KCD is very hard. They should look at Mafia, that was painful to play.
I think I would prefer an option to toggle auto saves that don’t consume SS ever hour or something but to also have a little icon pop up every hour reminding you to save as that would probably have helped me out a lot but I still think it’s stupid that during keeping the peace jail means game over as now my game is completely locked because I can’t go to Rattay or progress through the main story I get that it’s mainly my fault but I would have liked to have known I couldn’t get a wanted level and also the fact that I didn’t actually kill anyone and am still wanted for murder is BS
@pvpbeast1992 Well my friend. Sorry but i think you messed the things up for good… If you don’t have a save where you are not with this problem load it an loose the bit of progress you already made… If not, well, the only option is play all over again… Sorry to say that.
At least look at it. It was also made by Daniel Vávra. The beginning and saving system are very similar to KCD.

Maybe, but most of all he likes story with some meaning and not just for fillers. I personally do not enjoy very hardcore games, KCD & especially Mafia were exceptional because they had other stuff to do and you always wanted to see what is next, because stories hooked you by the brains.

@Vinicius yh I had to reload a save and lost about 20h worth of progress but it wasn’t too bad as I enjoy the game and while I was very annoyed at first I got over it quite quick because I’ve already played through the game a couple of times so once more doesn’t hurt. I only started this thread so hopefully other people see it and don’t do what I did or if they have done it they don’t waste any time on it and realise all they can do is reload as I looked for hours trying to find info on this but I couldn’t.

That is pitty, I also had to reload my old save before bug appeared but it would mean to lose many hours into game so I rather replay game in hardcore now, I hope there will be DLC released in a month or so.
