Yes, and in Skyrim (I don’t play the other titles you’ve mentioned) I have reduced it. Not radically, just to 10:1.
Skyrim really has time fly too fast. I was playing a few days ago with a new fresh start, the time o’clock mod on the left upper corner showed me that just walking from Raolf’s house to the merchant place, listen to them talk and walk the girl to the entrance of town would take 3 hours ingame time…
But what are the reasons to keep it 15:1 especially as you take a different approach regarding distances as the other mentioned RPGs (as mentioned by other users 1:1,1:2)? I think the posters above have produced good arguments to change it and I don’t see a good reason to keep it. Is it just to see the daylight changes more often?
At least you could make it a settings option if it doesnt mess with ingame NPC behavior. So everyone could have his/her preferred setting. More convenient than a mod.
Btw and I don’t think nights will be to long with 1:2 or 1:4, as during summer nights arent that long and dark. Imo this would complement one another very well.
