Czechs and their prostitutes…

…something is terribly wrong with the people in that country.

Daniel Vavra (via Twitter): “You gotta fight for you right to porn flicks! We stand behind you Brits!”

Um… how “heroic”. This is really a “cause” worth fighting for.

D.V.: “This has been banned in 20 universities? By students? WTF!” “I hope that the heads of those who are offended by few boobs in music video are gonna explode watching this.”

This is not just about a “few boobs”. It is about the context in which these “few boobs” appear – it is not a documentary about naked tribespeople. And you know that.

And Anna seemed such a nice girl… but then I found out that she’s a burlesque performer.

Well, you cry about your right to “freedom of speech”, but I also have my right not to support your game in any way.

So, why won’t I support this game? Simply because I don’t want to help in making Daniel Vavra a rich man, that’s why.

May be that he has some talent in game design, but his talent is empty. The man has nothing to say that I would want to hear.

In my opinion every country has prostitutes. But they are not so visible. And also everyone has its own point of view on things like that. This game is from 14th-15th centrury and I have to say, everything was rough no matter what. Deal with it! :wink:

Dan Vavra is great person and he has a lot to say. I am happy he can sees things differently and with true honesty.

And I have to say Czech Republic is very beautiful country with smart and dumb people (like everywhere). Will you be so kind and tell us where do you live? :sunny:

Uuuuhhh should I laugh about your statements? You’ve obviously never talked with Daniel directly and you only judge him by these few tweets without understanding the whole picture.

Let me paint it for your: Censorship happens a lot in politics and media in Germany (and many other countries like the USA, the “home of freedom”). What’s also happening is the censorship in our heads. We’re barely expressing our opinion on topics which we agree or disagree. Most people take everything for granted what media and politics offer their nation to “consume”.

This is the hypocrisy that Daniel points out with the tweets you mentioned. Censorship and banning is used to gain control of a situation which is already out of control. And it’s bad to do so because art should not be limited on legal control… or in the language of gaming business: publisher’s control.

If Daniel’s talent is empty, how come that Mafia gained so much success and recognition without that much advertisement upfront? How come people are looking for a game like KC:D or Star Citizen? It’s easy: Limited minds of publishers and consumers. Publishers couldn’t listen to these consumers because they didn’t say anything… or at least their voices weren’t loud enough to be heard with all the noise surrounding them.

Ohh yes it is heroic. Did you know that those filters are actually blocking legal content like sex educational sites? It’s not about access to porn, it’s about freedom to have access to the content you want to experience as an individual. Nobody is forcing you to watch pornography, because it’s your own freedom and choice. But if your freedom gets limited to access content you want to experience then it’s worth fighting for.

You seem to be looking for opinions you agree with while ignoring other people’s opinion which might be even more profound than your own opinion. That’s the censorship in your head. Think about it.

I’m glad that people like you won’t be part of this community. And it would be even better if you did’t post here at all. Your life must be really sad if you are so scared of porn and nudity. Censorship in any form is unacceptable and I’m glad that Dan isn’t afraid and speaks up against those crazy ideas. There is nothing wrong with being burlesque performer, it’s actually pretty cool, and I hope that your implications about Anna won’t be tolerated here.

Yes, we do have legal prostitution in the Czech Republic. There are quite a few brothels in my part of Prague and it has never bothered me. Quite a few gay pubs on the street I where I live too. I don’t care much for either of those, but I wonder where do you come from that it is bothering you to the point that you need to find a random Czech-related forum and start bragging about it.

People usually stand up and speak about rights in situation when these rights are in any way endangered.

Your ideology is part of an ancient world. And I am quite sure you would play a good role as a priest in the middle ages. I bet you are frightened to here words that you degrade. Like other people do that share such ideology.
All this is always combined with the unability to think outside the box, which is a poor attribute. People who do think outside the box ask questions. Such as:
What is sexuality, where does it come from, what is the intention? As people are something like apes 2.0, it is the most obvious thing to look at animals and their sexual behaviour.
First of all they are completely nude. But they are not always “horny”. So the question is: What makes mankind unable to control theirselves when they see nudity? What makes people want to hide it are they frightened? Isn’t it an expression of weakness to be unable to handle nudity?
It is out of the question that the human race has a prominent intelligence. But shouldn’t we try to use it in a reasonable way? When we limit ourselves by borders such as they were mentioned we limit our prospects to contribute humanity in a positive way. Although it may often happen that people ask questions like the ones I named, there are some we are not allowed to ask and to research.
“Ass, dickhead or shit”, are concatenated characters that are linked to an imagination in our brain. This imagination can be analyzed, linked to other imaginations or whatever. In my career I had a lot to do with people who thought the world of themselves. And they managed to make dumb people think the same.
But you can separate the wheat from the chaff by testing whether they are still able to talk about “bad words” in the same way like they do about the “good” ones. Because deciding between good and bad is like putting things into boxes instead of looking at their attributes to sort them by several ones. And that is how they work. They may be able to repeat what someone put in them but not to explore new things. Their life consists of stereotypes.

To sum it up, nudity and sex is nature. If there is a god, then nature is god. So god is sex. And sex is what he intended for us. Without sex we wouldn’t exist. So sex is not only god but also life.
To realize that you have to question your education, the people around you and how they behave in public. You may think that bringing up these questions and thinking about them was impure. But in truth, not thinking about these things, that are fundamental elements to determine why there is life, what our task is and how we can manage to fulfill it is simply reckless. And seriously doing that only leads to the conclusion that we are driven by constraints and put into mental cages. And to escape them is a great achievement because the forces who want to make us believe that consumption was the meaning of life are strong.
As long as there are such people it is easy for the economy to adopt laws against peoples in the guise of security. While their intolerance insults people who are wiser and more natural than themselves.

I agree with you! The worst part of this or any other country are people who start an empty fake account to post their allegedly own opinion (and a rather stupid and bigot one) to defame a project they probably hate because of some perosnal vendetta they have with the devs. Might be that I am wrong an you really think that Czech Republic is Gommorah of Europe a filthy lair full of promiscuous women and Jabba the Hutt sized pimps. But than … you are simply wrong! Come visit us and you’ll see for yourself (and maybe get some action going for you with all the strippers that run around streests here!)
