1.6 Weird lighting at night

I’ve seen screenshots of earlier versions of the game where characters are holding torches at night.

In my version of the game (1.6.whatever), when characters hold torches at night, the are illuminated by a strange white “halo” sort of lighting.

WEIRD

Additionally, with a torch, characters in white absolutely GLOW from a distance. If I don’t have a torch and I approach them, they’ll light with the strange white glow when I get close.

Is this a settings issue, or a graphical bug introduced in the new patch?

Further illustrating the problem, here are some more pictures:

  1. creepily starting at sleeping Theresa (NO TORCH)
    PIC1

  2. Same (WITH TORCH). Notice the iridescent glow of her nightgown.
    PIC2

  3. Up close with NO TORCH EQUIPPED. Same glow.
    PIC3

  4. Backed off several steps. The glowing effect slowly fades.
    PIC4

Apologies for forum spam. With further investigation, the light source present in this scene (either TORCH or CANDLELIGHT) seem to be throwing off some weird ambient white light. If I back off to the correct distance, I see can the white glow ebbing in tune with the flickering candlelight.

I suppose this is some sort of weird lighting bug?

Yes, I also noticed NPCs are glowing at night. This is annoying. Please fix this.
