140HRs later and I never knew you could do this

I accidentally killed a guard and the Rattay priest by running into them with a horse.

It was night time and I knew I ran into two different people on my way to Rattay from the southern gate I hit the priest he cursed me out, and then on my way to my room in the castle I hit another guard on the bridge and he cursed me too. I go to my bed and take a nap, get up the next morning and I saw my inadvertent handy work… Guard laying dead on the bridge and at the south gate down the hill our beloved Rattay priest… Face first in the dirt deader than a door nail…

So I guess if your riding fast enough you can kill someone if you hit them?? Currently using Sleipnir, Race Pony perk, Warhorse Perk, Strong Thighs, and military horseshoes, 15 Horsemanship after golden spurs come into account… Needless to say my horse IS FAST.

Let’s hope I don’t get a bounty.

PS : Also playing on Hardcore!

you can also kill them by pinning them between the horse and a wall/. Take my word for it and you will get a wanted tag.

I don’t know, I think it was original idea but I often bump into NPCs and never saw them die. Maybe my horse is not strong, I focus on weigh capacity rather than speed and other stats.

When you get to ashes dlc and do the archery contest, make sure you time the guard patrol because they path right thru the range. If you have a bow drawn or shoot anywhere near them you are DED. Hoeever I have seen npcs kill them by mistake during the tourney!

I found out you can kill Gertrude (quest Playing with the Devil - herbalist) when you accidentally stab her 15 times into her stupid face … … … my guilt she said, my guilt …

150 hours in and I never knew that either :open_mouth:. Better be more careful from now on!

Maybe you have a “poison horse”…

Yes this is an unfortunate issue… I did the same thing with a guard, late at night, in Sassau, on my way to the Inn. I woke up and was surrounded by guards calling me murdering scum and went to jail. A few game days later I jumped on my horse to chase a thief that had a good head start running form the grocer. Caught the thief, retrieved the money, gave it to the grocer, then guards came running up and arrested me for attacking people’s animals. Went to jail for 2 days, came out and found a dead chicken about 200 feet up the path from the grocer. You can accidentally kill people easier if you jump the horse, when they run in front of you (found that out the hard way) trying to avoid them… My reputation in Sassau (Villagers) went from 86 to 17. I would be a little gripey about it and call it a bug, but then figured, well, if it’s late at night and I want to get home and carelessly rush and plow over a cop and dog in my car – they won’t care it was by accident.

NOTE: I also am riding Slepnir with maxed horsemanship several perks, horse armor (from the nest on the cliff) heavy hunter’s saddle with 4 bags, noble’s reigns, and full Caprison, with military horseshoes. My horse typically has about 400-500 additional weight being carried.

I’ve heard a few things. It’s doesn’t sound outstanding, but it does sound like a good game, but a bit underwhelming compared to The Witcher or Skyrim. This was from one dude who’d played for about 6-8 hours. What makes me concerned is the fact that they are deleting first impressions from this subreddit. That is never a good sign.

Yeah… hillarious if not for the “wanted” tag… oh, and this way you can kill NPC’s that are important for the storyline without notice (happened to me). haha.

Problem is when you are speeding your horse and run on the NPC. Better DO NOT speed your horse in populated areas. hehe
