Iā€™m here because of ā€œ100+ dÅÆvodÅÆ proč Dan VĆ”vra nesnĆ”Å”Ć TES V: Skyrimā€ (100+ reasons why Dan VĆ”vra hates TES V: Skyrim")

After I read that I was happy Iā€™m not the only one who would love to see a bit of logic in games in order to be more believable and so I google what heā€™s doing by that time and I found his blog.

So it was about mid 2012 when I started to follow the Warhorse.

How I feel after 2 years of development? Iā€™m looking forward to beta counting each day but I also try to calm down a bit because Iā€™m usually critical even to games I likeā€¦ not so much to Kingdom Come. And that makes me a bit nervous. I donā€™t want to be over hyped and expect impossible. So far it seems I have nothing to fear though, the game looks amazing and plans sounds great.

Somewhere in March 14 I saw some nice screenshots of the game. But I didnā€™t realize itā€™s not jet Build/ready. Actually, I felt like I am too old for such games. But it would be stupid to make no exception hereā€¦.So I searched amazon & co and looked where to buy itā€¦ā€¦ Big frustration for meā€¦ā€¦Itā€™s only a Kickstarter Projectā€¦.and it was overā€¦ā€¦So I lost touchā€¦ā€¦But you guys never give up and so Iā€™ve found some new screenshots in October 2014 and the Info to pledge on your Websiteā€¦ā€¦So Why NOT? Itā€™s exactly that kind of game a was dreaming of since H&Dā€¦ā€¦ At first I didnā€™t know that it was Daniel who stands behind this project. But as far as I knew it I was totally Ok to spend some money.
Now we are in Jan 2016 and the Graphics of the game is getting better and betterā€¦ā€¦ If you achieve the same Level in Storytelling and Humor that would be awesome!
Nice to be aboardā€¦.
(sorry for Bad Englishā€¦ā€¦tried my best) :slightly_smiling:

A colleague told me in the middle of 2014 about a line in a gameing Magazine, that someone tries to develop a historic middle age RPG.
Unfortunately I was to late and the Magazine was sold out.
I started to search for the game at the internet and to get more Information.
I had never pledged a game before and it took some time for my decision to pledge.
Now Iā€™m here since the end of 2014.
I also enjoyed most of the ideas and discussions at this forum.

Now lets see what the BETA is bringing. Personally i think Santa Claus is late.

I donā€™t see kickstarter campaign as a beginning, since Iā€™ve been following this game from late 2011 via Warhorse blog. I donā€™t even know how did I came to reading that blog, probably accidentally anyway, but even after all this time, I still consider Danā€™s article about potato land ā€œJsi Krutor, divokĆ½ barbar ze země Morkrochā€¦ā€ as one of the best Iā€™ve ever read in game industry, since he perfectly written down all my thoughts I previously had about many other RPGs, and I just still hope the game will be closely following principles mentioned in that article. :slightly_smiling:

I have doubts sometimes, though, which grew with more and more facts I know about the final game. Although it still can be and probably will be perfect and revolutionary in some aspects. But at the very beginning, there was some mysterious aura about it which I liked the most. What location will the game show? Will there be Prague? What about the decisions and your influence over the game world? Will it be possible to live a full medieval life inside their open world?

By the way, since I couldnā€™t find a better thread to askā€¦ I was reading also the lastest interview with Dan at HN (Ego, respectively) and he had some nice picture over there, I think it was this one - http://archiv.ihned.cz/c1-65119420-cesti-vyvojari-hraji-vabank - is it possible to get it somewhere in higher resolution (like 1920x1080)? I think it might look well as my new wallpaper

I must admit, that I am a filthy cowardā€¦ saw the kickstarter campaign two years ago and was very intrigued but didnā€™t dare to support itā€¦
I followed the development ever since but only pledged for the game last decemberā€¦ ashes on my headā€¦ as we say in germanā€¦
It all just sounded toooooo good. But having played the alpha it seems that the developers might suceedā€¦

Iā€™ve been loosely following you guys from the first rumours circulating about a new ā€˜Vavraā€™ project. :slightly_smiling: What got me really interested was the old shakycam video of the first look at landscapes. Being a bit of an archeology fan I couldnā€™t wait for more info. Now I definitely know that this will be an interesting game. I especially hope that the game will sell like crazy and the idea of dragon-less RPG will be proven and the nay-sayers will get to weep! :slightly_smiling:

Iā€™m proud to be an original backer.
Iā€™m proud to say that I told as many people about the game as I could.
Iā€™m proud to see Daniel Vavra defend GamerGate against the slander from the corrupt gaming media.
Iā€™m proud to see a new studio make a game that isnā€™t targeted at some sort of focus group or general audience.
