A Bird in the Hand broken after CTD (Patch 1.6)

Greetings!

After patch 1.6 has been applied I had a CTD (crash-to-desktop) while running A Bird in the Hand… quest. I had already collected 2 out of 3 cages with the birds inside when the crash happened. When the game was restarted, the quest shows up as I haven’t collected any cages and the location of them are pilled up in the middle of Rattay, while the map shows the area of the quest highlighted in the right spot (west of Rattay).

What should I do?

PC / Steam version.

Broken for me too, but in hardcore mode.

When i drop a cage on the right spot nothing happens even if i wait and the cage automatically respawns in my horse saddle inventory. Empty.

1.6 on PC .no problems. even caught the birds faster despite my crappy FPS.
Oh, and GOG user.
