Just caught wind of this game, im pretty excited (being a Mount & Blade Fan). So I signed up to the forum & I have pre-ordered from Steam.
Will there be a multiplayer skirmish mode to it?
No. Single player only, with the focus on story and using the right tool for the right job. (Sometimes that is a sword, but it is possible to resolve nearly everything by other means).

Shame about no skirmish, but then I guess the devs c an concentrate on making a good rpg.
I really liked attacking castles in M&B, every one had a different design, I hope this turns out to be as fun.
You are not going to be besieging castles often. It’s tied to historical events and you as Henry play only as simple man, no lord as in Mount and Blade.
I’m a lot like you. I caught wind of this game awhile back and decided to check it out. I was really waiting for a game like this. I thought it would never come. I was a Mount and Blade player too. Can’t really compare the two when it comes to game play. But it is a break from all the fantasy RPGs.
