Just trying to be diligent in delivering pious to justice. And en route maybe help the monastery out a bit. I’d enjoy the monastic virtual life for a while a lot more, if it was actually possible to roughly follow the rules, and not randomly get busted for nothing.
The thing I dislike most is being told by the rule book, that I have spare time after supper, but if I leave the Refectory even after all the well fed monks are gone, even being on the corridor is considered a ‘sin’.
Whilst explicitly stating that one can read or pray or meditate instead of eating or sleeping, if one so desires, being anywhere but the bedchamber or refectory is considered off limits…
