Add quicksaving

so doing something for a good hour, gaining experience, new armour, exploring places that can’t be fast travelled to. then a higher level bandit appears on the road, i decide to fight him because why not? he defeats me, and everything that i have accomplished, all that time i spent, has been completely thrown away because the game never saved. petition for quicksaves to be added

Actually you’re supposed to react properly, that’s the game’s general idea.
If you see you’re getting beaten, ever think of surrendering or running away?
Your character really isn’t meant to be a big hero and win every fight, unless you put some serious effort and time in training and eventually work for it.

No risk, no glory. I like it the way it is.

Well, possibility to choose is best thing in the life, maybe except crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women. but its a bit complicated in these days…

There are already cheat mods /Trainers and save mods, so some easy mode with quicksave and no Achievements and bow fire cursor. make sense.

Does saving make other games unplayable a dont think so… I never read something like, because game have quick save i will not play it… - its our choice to use it.

I dont even mention how broken game still is. If game would be any other director is will be already there but Dan Vavra is probably still out of reality and just reposting positive tweets about game on twitter and nice screenshots.

Game is so broken, that i can play now for 3 weeks, 1.3 patch not fixed, new patch is nowhere and support dont respond at all, nice job - i tried it 4 times, no a word in response.

Apparently there is a patch coming out this week, so maybe it will help with the bugs, although I wouldn’t put too much hope in it.
I agree that the risk and “realistic” adventure feel is messed up becouse of the present bugs… dind’t think about that.

In any case, my current Henry lost two encounters. Once I managed to escape, the second time I had to pay the bandit some groschen. I once died during a quest, where two bandits were involved and had to fight them, so when I loaded my latest save, I travelled to the woods, threw out 5 random items from my equipment (including a nice weapon and really good gauntlets) and drank so much vodka that I woke up south of Rattay.
Then after a while I returned to te quest, but managed to finish it without fighting those two bad guys.

Well, I’m that weird when it comes to RPG. I just think that’s how this game is supposed to be played.

Also please add a “win game” button to the main menu, thanks.

I was thinking about the save system when I was playing yesterday after reading some forum comments on here and steam with people wanting quick save options added and imo it’s really not needed and will ruin the game for the realism it had created. As long as you think before doing a quest or fast traveling the current system works like a charm.

You have a quick save option with saviour schnapps, once you know how to make them and spend some time collecting the correct herbs are really easy to keep a decent amount of in your bag and then your saving option is solved.

If they added an option to save whenever you like then the game will become far too easy, make a choice in a conversation and decide that you don’t like the outcome, just reload and try again, which would break the immersion and make it the same as every other rpg ever made. Also there would be no danger aspect to the game at all, as you’d just reload every time something goes wrong.

I think the system they have implemented is perfect for the type of game play they wanted to give us. I’ve not once had an issue with saving, there are plenty of beds and inns to save at and in a pinch you have your schnapps. Plus we now have save and exit, which is really helpful if you are in the middle of something but have to log off.

I really hope they don’t give in and change it to please the people who don’t appreciate a harder and realistic RPG and want it to be the same as every other game ever made.

Long reply I know, but wanted to get my point across

I agree with what you say vilkolak. but when you do get away on dear old Pebbles as I did, and you ride miles and yet the guy who’s killing you somehow keeps up on foot, and is on you the second you dismount it becomes a little tedious.
Still love the game and waiting a few months to try again on new Pc.

Boo fricking hoo.

You filthy casual.

I for one am glad the bandit put you in your place.

Cuz then you die and hop on here and go “this game needs a quicksave. I’m tired of finding good shit, fighting someone and then dying”; and then a bunch of idiots agree and then WH buckles and strays further from their original idea pushing their game closer and closer to every other game…what’s next? Dragons? Magic?

They give you Savior Schnapps…that’s your quick save; and aside from bringing up your conspicuousness and therefore maaaaybe slightly decreasing your ability to sneak in broad daylight it absolutely doesn’t effect you in any negative way whatsoever, it’s actually meant as a mechanic to heighten speech/cha and fighting skills before a big decision while also not letting your save scum your way through…USE A F*CKING SAVIOR SCHNAPPS or use that stupid save and exit crap they added and reload, your decision

or just maybe resist the urge to fight that bandit. This game isn’t like every other game in that just because you have good gear you are automatically gonna win; it helps, but you need to be decent at fighting also or you’ll run out of stamina and die really fast. So take your loot home and theeeen go fight people or just dont fight at all if you can’t handle 1 bandit

Lol @ the people who overuse fast travel to get anywhere and cry for quicksaving xD!! I dont even use snapps anymore and never fast yet i always manage and nowhere take log to get anywhere by horse which is probably faster anyway since you can take a direct route skipping roads… there a enough checkpoint saves/camps/lodges with and an abundance of savior snapps around bohemia to plan your travels out… people are 100% lazy af these days.
