A question just to be sure: Will any additional ranged weapons, like composite bows (so Polovstians could look more historically correct), crossbows, maybe even handgonnes, be added?

If my memory hasn’t crapped out I recall that in one of the livestreams they said that they won’t be adding crossbows or handgonnes because not enough time and they’re pressing to get the game released on time but may add them in the later acts
that truly does sounds like something we would say
Seriously though. If we are to picture Hussite wars (which we eventually want to) hand cannons and other firearms are a must!
Wow, didn’t see that coming:P
“Just try to get through my armor!”
Okay: BANG
Stupid bucket-heads.
It doesn’t sound good.
So composite bows?
Is a must in my opinion because the cumans used it.
As far as I remember someone from the team mentioned that the test bow in the beta stands for various typs of bows.
Gude soun. I cannot imagine a polovstian without his trusty saadak.
Why no crossbows? You would think they would be relatively easy to implement, and not having crossbows, but then having longbows in mainland Europe would be extremely weird.
Polovstians look even weirder without bows.
I’ll take your word for it, but from what i understand excluding crossbows would be as ridiculous as excluding pole arms. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
Artow right. Croosbowe wes a common wepene of 14-15 century knygtes oost.
Composite bows will not be, as well as saadak - the problem of game character models. Henry moves on foot and saadak will create problems in different actions. Here it is necessary make the option to wear / remove saadak with a bow.
In vain the developers have included the option of bow in its current form. Long bow and quiver on the back as a result. Crossbow would be the more appropriate option.
It dooth nat soun gude.
