Alchemy animation, 3 reasons why we need to improve it

I had a seasick attack because annoying, senseless animations.
So, my thoughts on this usecase:

  • First interact, press E for “Start alchemy” — after that, do not focus on empty cauldron, focus on book instead.
[no way you want inventory management as default option]

  • press E to “Read” book, then hold E to “Prepare” — after that, do not focus on empty cauldron, focus on liquid instead.
[no way you can start alchemy minigame without selecting liquid as first step]

  • press E to “Read” book, then hold F to “Autobrew” — after that, do not focus on empty cauldron, don’t play any animation at all.
[no way you want look at empty cauldron, or other animations, when you have Autobrew]

conclusion — do not focus on empty cauldron — is a key.
Any additions?

I agree with the first 2 points
but the third I’m not sure since it would make autobrew kind of OP

25% speed increase in some animations, or shorter animations would be better. That’s my gripe about alchemy.

Why animation should prevent this? I think animation is not part of economic balance in any way.

Without the animation you could spam F and get many potions real fast
