Alchemy Design prevents recipe remebering and discovering?

Currently, you start any potion cooking by selecting some recipe from an alchemy book at particular alchemy station. Than just those ingredients for that recipe appears on the workbench to be available for cooking.

I suggest to add an option to prepare any ingredients on the workbench manually
(clicking on an empty sack to fill it with any herb from your inventory…).

This way you could make recipes that are not listed in the book from your current alchemy station - recipes that you have memorized from elsewhere, but are not listed in the book that you have available at the particular alchemy station ).

Also you could experiment and discover new potions yourself. It would be quite easy to discover some weaker random potions. But you could discover a very good ones too If you get really lucky with the right combinations.

It sound like an easy, but addition to make. Also more immersive.

You can actually put ingredients on the shelf manually.

You just have to go to inventory and select herbs you want to use.

It would also be funny to discover something “bad” by accident, where there’s a small explosion in your face haha

Imagine a smoke filled room and you burst through the door to some fresh air, you hair all askew, and face covered in soot haha

if they add salt petre and sulfur…course that wouldn’t be very period appropriate.

After you create a potion, does it tell you what it is and what it does?

yes
and if it’s a ‘‘working’’ potion you get the recipe
