Alchemy in Bohemia

I’m currently looking for the first alchemical book in Bohemia ( by the way, the so-called (ger.) “Walen-Bücher” would have been very suitable as a topic for treasure hunting in KCD ). The author I’m looking for is Anthony wlacha s florencia aka Antonio of Florence. Informations are hard to find. There seems to be a hint on this page:

Anthony wlacha s florencie

Unfortunately, I cannot read Czech :frowning: If someone would write a short summary of the text, It would make me happy.- Google translate is not exactly helpfull.

As the mentioned book was written about 1430, it would perfectly fit to KCD

That book is from Krkonoše region, that’s where I live  So …

They say that this book states that it was written by apprentice of some M. Anthony. There is another alchemy book written in German language by Antonio von Medici who was italian from Florence; it may be that this is the same person as our M.Anthony. However there are many doubts about Antonio von Medici. Some historians date his book to year 1430, but others to 16th century. They found that some Antonio from Florence lived in 1410 - 1443 in Wroclaw (Poland), fell in debts there and then (probably) moved to Krakov. Wroclav is like 120km far from Krkonoše, so it is not imposible that he could have some connections to our country. But named historian is sceptic and says that Antonio’s name was only used in our book to make it more interesting to readers.
