First things first great job guys the game looks great! I’m just going to post my experience (graphical mostly) on about 1 hour of playing around with the alpha.
Firstly my pc specs:
- cpu 3930k 4.4ghz
- 4x4gb ram at 1666mhz
- 7200rpm WD cav black
- Evga 780ti classified
- ROG SWIFT PG278Q (2560x1440 g-sync)
- Windows 7
Game version : main_18520_804
I was using all settings at very high and the game ran very well 79-89fps when looking at the horizon and 120+ when looking straight up or down. Some drops to mid 60s and only a drop to 45fps when initially starting the game and looking at the village.
- Screenshots are hosted on imgur because they are 2560x1440, and 2 screenshots will be provided in the first post and 2 in the second because the annoying 2 links max per post is in effect…
CPU performance:
- The game looks like its using 6 cores, 1 core at 80% and 5 at around 50% (screenshot provided)
- Uses ~ 2gb system memory.
No major issues found, but the ghost chickens did make me laugh.
- Don’t worry I just mean they pass through walls…
Minor issues:
- fps drops massively (50-60fps loss) when looking at options while in-game. (screenshot provided)
- Option to remove motion blur, I know by default it’s active and it has some uses but personally it’s annoying and should have an option to turn off. (proof of motion blur screenshot provided in second post…).
- Weird bug with character model in the menu. (Screenshot provided in second post…)
- When alt-tabbing and selecting another window and getting back into the game removed g-sync, this is probably being caused by the game applying v-sync or returning to a borderless-windowed mode?
Quality of life changes:
- Screen resolution to switch to a drop down, REALLY annoying when you miss your native resolution and you have to click 20 times again. Because the left arrow didn’t work but the right arrow did or another alternative is to load with native resolution by default.
Overall great release guys, can’t wait to see more!
