Alpha Bugs list

Chickens never sleep!
There is modelled detail inside of the chickens houses that is really hard to see - maybe unnecessary? ( I had to jump on a pile of logs to catch a glimpse.

There is a texture/alpha layer on the roads and around muddly puddles that seems to have holes in it where stones could be.

Froze on start up 4 times in a row. Had to start with admin privileges to successfully load.

Alt tabbing when using nvidia DSR breaks things. Viewport stays at 1080p (desktop res) yet game is still running at greater resolution.

NPC behaviour sometimes permanently interrupted after dialogue.

I have not had any of the multicoloured textures.

You can tag a ride with NPCs if you get close behind them they can drag you along for a while.

I do like the muddy puddles - leaving foot prints or at least some squelch feed back would be nice.

I like the dung on the road (it does appear to float though)

My hair went grey during dialogue camera.

Is there meant to be audio dialogue or just text?

i have a bug with the bow quest for some reason i canā€™t shot it

Well, iā€™m sure you also noticed that NPC or your character do not open mouth, so ā€¦ what do you think now?

@Dekssan
a joke:
they havenā€™t enough money for that

i can hear the chicken dialogue so it could have been a bug :stuck_out_tongue:

Had a really weird bug with the shooting as well. Shot all arrows and couldnā€™t return the quest. Thought that might be it, just shoot and youā€™re done. Strangely I had to restart the game several times after that since some dialogs were bugged and I couldnā€™t get out of it. After finally having the money again, I talked to the archer at the range to try the shooting some more when he gave me my bet for my good shooting (from 4 restarts ago) and took his bow. Wat?! o.O

You mean something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVLz-ZNMCPA&list=UUDNPScKo6DUh7K4AGIYQCQQ#t=427 ?

no, more like shooting, trying to talk to him but ā€˜Eā€™ doesnā€™t do anything, then I start a new game, try to get the money but couldnā€™t talk to the blacksmith, restarting 3 more times, going to the range with the money and when I talk to the archer he says hes impressed and heā€™s giving me money and takes him bow back before I even started the shooting part.

@warhorse this sounds like start new game doesnā€™t really restart. Guess some things arenā€™t properly unloaded, which makes me think: Would it be helpful if I can reproduce this, make a memory dump and start the game again, dump again? Or is this a known issue?

Some bugs i encountered.

Blurry hands.

Blacksmith.

Blacksmith.

Cooking.

Cooking.

Demon!

In the air.

Market stand.

Wrong spot.

Water.

Water.

Ha! I just reread it and I must admit it does sound rather ā€œMorriganishā€

As Dan said during the live play yesterday, there needs to be some indicator / description for the active NPCs. I found the shepherd completely by luck - he was walking all around the village {even at night) but was never nowhere around the sheeps so he never gave me the quest.

I think that the concept of daily routines for NPCs is fine and a blacksmith wonā€™t be hammering 24/7. But when I ask his wife for his whereabouts and she tells me heā€™s in the pub, the game needs to make sure he will be sitting there to be found {just as an example for final features, I fully understand that this is alpha and will be extensively modified)

yet to complete the archery quest, he either stands still in his house or i canā€™t talk to him after the first bit of shooting and he sits on the bench

For the shepherd quest.
Serach only 4 the sheep and bring it back to the others.
If all works correct in your actual session,
the shepherd will sit at the end of the fence where the entrance to the field is.
Not at the place where you can find archer!
Iā€™ve never talked to him and finished the quest without any dialogues before!

I have a 2 monitor setup with 1080p@120Hz+1080p@60Hz. When I run the game in 1080p full-screen the content on my second monitor shifts to the right. This typically happens when running a game full-screen on a different resolution then the rest of the desktop, so it should not happen here.

Also the KCD splash screen pops up on my right (i.e. 2nd) monitor and the Cryengine splash screen is where it should be on the left.

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6770; left monitor is on 120Hz the right one is on 60Hz.

I think most of the issues I encountered have been already reported here however I have 2 extra realism issues/feedback:

  • the moon doesnā€™t seem to move through the sky. I spent a nice portion of the night starring at the moon and it was stuck at one point. What is more it seemed to be stuck in the same point even during day time. I hope that in the final version of the game this will be implemented and ideally the phases of the moon will change as well and the lighting conditions during the night will be different with different phases e.g. full moon/new moon.

  • chicken and hens should not ignore the player and the NPCs, but at least move away from them.

Another issue Iā€™ve encountered:

when I start a new game while Iā€™m already into another session framerate in the new session goes ab bit down (with some stutters) and the RAM usage is a lot higher (> 1 GB)

And: everyone wears the same grey/white linen shirtā€¦

2560x1440 works like a charm on highest setting. (dual gtx780, oc i5 4.2ghz)

Lots of bugs, but that is to be expected. IĀ“ll worry about those on a later stage.

Graphics-wise, all good.
Flow, all good.

Looking forward to more features and content to test. For now, thumbs up !

i killed her with 2 shots from the bow. dont know if thats sepposed to happen. but hƩ, my first kill in game xD
