Alpha Performance Thread

35-45 FPS at 1080p and very high

System:
Win 8.1 Pro
Xeon E3-1230v3
8GB RAM
Radeon HD7870 OC
Catalyst 14.9

Note: the game is running fine in theory. But the texture pop-in is horrible. While the game looks nice on screenshots it suffers A BIG DEAL from these bad placed, bad optimized and just not understandable texture pop-ins in motion. I don’t get for example why higher grass is rendered in great detail far away while the low gras just besids isn’t visible at all before you stand 20m before it. Of course it’s an early tech alpha but that doesn’t make sense anyway.

Here are mine two screen with performance on max setting ( full HD 1080p and Very High ).

Specs:

Intel® Core™ i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz
DDR3 16GB
MOBO: SABERTOOTH Z77
NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN
couple of Samsung SSD

I’ve a HD 5970  and I get … well … like 3 to 10 FPS on 1920x1200 on Very High.

Best framerate I get is with 1366x768 width and low settings, it’s around 15 to 25 FPS. And, actually, the game looks quite good.

CryEngine is notorious to underwhelm me on my system; I get 50-60 FPS with Crysis 1 but it always feels sluggish. One part of that feeling is that motion blur they seem to have active everywhere which is super annoying. Once I disable this in games, everything feels much better.

There’s constant stuttering, can’t walk 5 steps without the whole scenery freezing for a short time.

Using GPU-Z, both GPUs are around 70 on 1366 and low-res.

CPU: Intel Core i7-980X
RAM: 2x Kingston HyperX DIMM Kit 6GB PC3-12800U CL7-7-7-20
GFX: XFX Radeon HD 5970 Black Edition
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7, X58
OS: W7Pro 64bit

i5 4760K
GTX 770
8GB DDR3 RAM

1080p full screen, very high settings.
Runs smooth as hell.

Things look quite lovely set on High video settings on…

HP 510-y
AMD Phenom 6 Core 2.8 GHz Processor
8GB Ram
AMD Radeon 200 series video card with 2 GB memory
Resolution set to 1280x720

Just had a quick 10 minute run around.
i5- 3570k @ stock
8gb ram
SSD
msi 970
Running that nvidia DSR thing (so 1.5K downsampled to 1080p)
Settings to very high
First game to make my gfx card get to 50% fan!

Seems smooth

Good lord its pretty.

ran around for about 20 min, performance was pretty consistent (25-35 fps)
i7 4670K @4.4Ghz
8GB Ram
Geforce GTX 470 @ 800Mhz

1080P
medium settings

only slightly lower framerate as i got in crysis 3, seems nice for a alpha ^^
not recommended for extended play as i got a massive headache after a wile (used to 60fps >.<)

My game crashed the first time I started it up on max settings, but it ran fine on the second startup. It may have had something to do with my adjusting the settings on that initial startup. I haven’t tried it on my laptop yet.

Just as a reference, These are my system specs:

Desktop:
i7-2700k
2x 3GB EVGA GTX 780 SC
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM
EVGA P67 FTW

Laptop:
i7-4710HQ
16GB DDR3 RAM
6GB GTX 870M

Res: 1920x1080
Graphics: Very High
Avg FPS: 72fps

PC Specs:
2x GTX 780 @ Stock running in SLI [344.48 driver] (Checked the graphs and only one GPU was running, that is expected from an Alpha  )
Intel i7-2600K OC @ 4.7Ghz ~1.4v
16GB DDR3 @ 1333

So far the game performs great!

I did try some commands to tweak options higher than the set 'Very High’
I made the view distance farther and enabled Global Illumination, Performance did take some hit as my avgFPS when to 60fps and in the main village almost down to 45fps.

How can you enhance the view distance? Console code please.

open console then type the following (CAPS don’t matter)

e_LodRatio = 500 <— This is for how far details look in the distance.
e_ViewDistRatio = 500 <— This is how far objects render
e_ViewDistRatioVegetation = 500 <— This is how far trees and the like render
e_ViewDistRatioDetail = 500 <— This is for how far details render in the distance
e_MergedMeshesInstanceDist = 20 <— this is how far grass animates

you can change the numbers to your liking.

Also you can also change Shadow resolution using this command: e_ShadowsMaxTexRes = 4096 (4k shadows)

Global Illumination can be toggled with: e_GI = 1

Have fun testing!
*note you can type part of the command then press TAB to get a list of possible commands, us Page up and Page down to scroll through and pressing TAB to select the next command in the list and display it.

Öh, welche wirklichen Tatsachen meinst du? Und was für Anfragen?!? Entwas Hintergrund wäre hilfreich…

Which “real facts” do you relate to? And which inquiries? Some background would be usefull…

Xeon W3570
3x 4 GB DDR31600 @1333
Asus Sabertooth X58
Radeon 7850 1GB
1080p

~25 fps @ high
Crash within 20 seconds @ very high

Can you use “r_VSync 0” in the console to turn v_sync off and see what your average fps is with it off?

After taking screenshot you can saw the fps when that screenshot taken in the console. But you should either deactivate steam overlay or change steam’s screenshot key.

Something between 45 - 72 fps. Had some drops near the smithy. Average is close to 60, around 58 I’d say. Within the village, houses and forest.

I’m having major perfomance issues on my laptop…

My specs are:
i7-3630QM CPU
8GB RAM 7200rpm
GT 650M 2GB

I’m getting the following fps:
Low settings on 1366x768: 14-42 fps
High settings on 1920x1080: 6-21 fps

I know my GPU isn’t great but still I don’t think this is normal.

The game looks beautiful though
