Alpha Performance

So I’ve noticed a lot of performance threads. Some people seem to be running it fine with even less powerful hardware than mine, which is odd. I realize the game is far from optimized, so I’m wondering if anyone is having any similar issues with similar setups.
My specs are
EVGA GTX 980 Oc’d (latest drivers)
i7 4790k OC’d to 4.6 GHz
16 GB DDR3 @ 2400 MHz
Windows 7 Ultimate
Installed on a Toshiba 2 TB HDD, 7200 RPM

Even on Medium settings at 1920 x 1080, I am dropping as low as 17fps when moving around near the village, and the framerate jumps wildly elsewhere, anywhere from 25-50 fps, often with a lot of major stutter and screen tear, even with V-Sync forced on in Nvidia Control Panel. Anyone else have any similar issues?

Hello @Its_Hex

let’s have a look what GPUz says…Play 10min and post a schreenshot of the gpuz sensor tab…

Hi

I have same problem as Its_Hex. I get a lot of stuttering, but not as bad FPS drops as on Very High it can drop down to 25fps at most.

I have GTX970, 4790k, 16gb ram

and I did as you told him. I noticed that GPU load hits 99%. I get that in some other games but not all. Do you know what are possible causes for this.

@SeriousKarol Looking quite normal… 99% GPU-Usage is ok…(hungry CryEngine)
Are you running the game from a SSD or a normal HDD? Perhaps the bottelneck Comes from the HDD in combination with an AV App…
Are those Bad FPS rates in the Militarycamp?

Switched my installation to my SSD, running far more smoothly even on high now, going to post GPU-Z results in a few.

This is from about 10 minutes of playing, mostly running around in the village. That slight dip is when I alt-tabbed.

Looking good…but why is your fan Speed so low???
Give more Speed to the fan and unleach your GPU…

Well…I think your GPU temp is too high…
