Analysis of the Witcher 3 Trailer

That’s right, although I don’t really see a problem with flying targets as long as you have the Witcher signs, especially since they can be even further tuned/specialised and this will probably come back again in W3 as well. If some flying pest keeps bothering you, what’s easier than to give it a warm welcome with the Igni…

But yea, if they already decided to include it, it’s no helping it now.
I just hope ir remains purely optional so that you first have to acquire it if you really want it (like before- get yourself a blueprint and craft it first) and not that they stick it in your hand from the beginning. I also hope it at least will be a regular crossbow and not something going auto-pew-pew like a pistol.
But here I feel that I’m already heavily underestimating them, so far they’ve been doing a fantastic job on W1 and W2… so the hopes are high and fingers are crossed. 8)

Okay guys lets take this discussion to the next level.

Yennefer vs. Triss

flame away!

Triss - younger, prettier, kinder, not a psycho. Yennefer is an irritating, quarrelsome bia*ch. Easy choice.

Yup Yennefer every time.

Triss not a psycho? She does lie, on the other hand she has red hair so that’s a big plus.

Well, our Geralt’s definitely got a hard decision coming for him.
I think I’ll wait to see how much Yen does or does not remain the same as she was all those years back. CDPR managed to make Triss into a serious competition in the meantime and only for the good of it if you ask me.

I also wonder what Yen will be like. Especially because ingame Triss behaves more like Yen in the books than Triss in the books.

Yen is incredibly jealous, irascible, arrogant, smug, vain, egocentric, iffy, stubborn and really dangerous if you anger her. She would turn you into a frog in no time and I hope she will be exactly like that in the game… :stuck_out_tongue:

Of course Yen is the only option of choice. Yen is Geralt’s soulmate, his destiny. Geralt is the only one who is able to crack her hard shell to see who she really is. He knows her weaknesses and still loves her. Their relationship is extremely problematic and it’s hard for them to live together. But it’s even harder to be seperated forever. But in the end, there are no happy ends in the witcher world. In this world the good don’t always prevail, not at all. It’s much like our own world I fear…

Yen because of the smell of gooseberry and lilac … must be nice

Concerning this topic, there was just a 5-minute gameplay video from the E3 uploaded.

And another gameplay video:

The graphics and art design are breathtaking. I hope KCD will be equally as good.

A little too much blood (not that I dont like blood in games but this just looks like too much) and I hope that this tracking of blood and especially the crossbow dont make this game too easy.

I, personally, don’t like to have a crossbow. As mentioned above this still is like a “dishonorable” weapon to witchers. I could easily use witcher signs for hitting a flying foe. Still, excited as hell.

14 minutes? OMG, can’t wait for work to be over :stuck_out_tongue:

The witcher series is not competing with any other game.,… the witcher is the witcher.

And the second time in a row Witcher 3 won E3 people’s choice award on IGN.

I would really like to know what Dan thinks about Witcher 3. I saw him in a youtube/livestream video during E3 where he was in a Czech gaming outlet studio commenting on stuff happening at E3 and the Witcher 3 was also a topic. But I don’t understand even a single word in Czech so I would like to hear what he has to say about the game in English…

If you mean this http://youtu.be/Rq3GQQ_JgMk

Concisely what Dan said:

  • combat is still the same like in the previous games and i don’t like it that much
  • i’m interested in the quests and story, but they actually didn’t show nothing from it, so we can’t judge
  • open world is looking oddly small, it feels very compressed, but that’s maybe just for the demo to show as many things as possible

Also take into account that they discussed only the first gameplay video (gryphon hunt). The other two were not out yet…

Just some heads up about things happening around Witcher 3 - look out what you are reading from now. Witcher 3 design documentation leaked out, it contains info about monsters, characters, even info about storyline, sidequests and endings and ideas for Witcher 4. Don’t let it spoil you the whole game. Trolls and all kinds of a******s will be posting it everywhere i bet.
