If you get searched by a guard on the day of the Rattay Tourney once you get the “Objective Completed: Enter the Tourney” announcement then the tourney gets cancelled and you auto fail the quest and have to wait another seven days.
Yes, that is correct. From patch 1.8.1 guards don´t search you during the fight. There will be additional changes in upcoming patch, so the guards won´t frisk you during the tournament, while you are at upper rattay castle.
