Anyone else alittle paranoid of knife attacks?

That’s the hyperinflation I mentioned. (But it happened in 1923.)

Money have certain value until people stop to ascribe that value to them. Therefore some speculators are famously able to persuade the markets that for example The Pound Sterling has less value than the markets ascribe to it and therefore devalve the currency considerably. Afterwards they buy the currency and therefore raise it’s value and sel with profit afterwards.

Perhaps safer than many others. Not the only one considered “safe”. (For example the gold seems to maintain its price for millennia as it seems.) But you must buy cheap property that’s value could potentially rise (those exapmles you used are perhaps good) or you could lose considerably.

all the basic survivel stuff are safe investment. its all about buying and selling at the rigth time

i remeber reading about a guy ho purchase millions of coins just to melt them down. becuse the metal value was higher then the actual coin

Or about stopping worrying (and loving the bomb). I prefer making money by proper work (and growing vegetables for myself). You Norwegians (if I am not mistaken you are Norwegian) are lucky you were clever enough to buid the state pension fund and support it by oil money.

That is punished by law here in Czech republic.

yes ouer world turnd up side down in the 60s when we found oil:-) but the problem today is that we have put down nearly all of or industri. if the oil price fall we dont have annything to support our new way of life. we are like lottery millioners. and now we are on the spending stage:-) you will be suprised to how mutch money we trow out of the window. and 1 big problem is that norwegians have it to good. so we dont bother about things like this untill its to late. if we stop working we get 60% of ouer yearly income from the last job intill we get a new job

But that applies to the whole Europe (perhaps with the exception of Germany).

Norway has many valuable assets. Your clean nature and water, the beautiful landscape, mountains, fjords and old towns = huge tourist potential (alas Norways is quite expensive for us poorer Europeans). The quality of education system and of democracy.

Of course the whole Europe is extemely dependent on the stability of the whole world and Norway is not an exception. But till the world collapses Norway is quite safe.

Perhaps you would be surprised but the former Czechoslovakia was one of the most developed and rich countries of the world till the 60s. We kind of exchanged our position with Scandinavia. But still we can’t complain. We are rich people eventhough the median salary here is probably less than 12k Euro a year.

well i dont think its going to happen in my lifetime:-) but you never know. im glad that you like ouer landscape. im in love whit it myself.

this is a picture i tok on a tent trip this summer. its in femund. its more dence forest were i live. i live in akershus

i have actually been in your country. a class trip when i was yonger. lots of history:-). we traveled to praha. you live in a beautiful country

I like those lakes very much. Such tranquil places. But I would prefer less snow during summer perhaps.

Thank you. I guess every country is beautiful in it’s own way. I have visited Morocco for the third time earlier this year. Was able to camp at the shore of this mountain lake:

Cold water but how clean! And eventhough there is lot less vegetation than at the shore of the lake Femund, Isli is also beautiful in it’s own particular way.

well the snow is only on the mounten tops. we are in the high land in the picture. but dont let the picture fool you. we had 30 decrees and becuse of the higth temerature we had unbearable amount of bugs. dont know the english word for it but we had alot of flies that eat yor skin. so we had to be fast and eat up ouer breakfast then get out in ouer inflatable canoe and paddle out away from the bugs. only in the canoe we ware able to relax:-)

yes its absolutely beautiful. thats what i like about travling around the world. to look at ther landscape and history. i love it:-)

That’s what I call a motivation to wake up early and try some water sports .

Yes, travelling definitely expands your horizons. I would recommend travelling to poor developing countries especially. The people here are often so happy and good-tempered despite being absolutely poor by our standards. I have seldom met so many smiling and pleasant people as in Moroccan mountains and desert areas.

this brings tears to my eyes

Deleted scenes from Game of Thrones?

Actually most people living in America are native. The definition of native is being born in an area. I was born in America there for i am a native American. Many illegal Mexicans running across the border have a criminal background and should be sent back. In fact all of them are breaking the law living here without citizenship. What you are describing is exactly what Mexicans are doing. In the area where i live many schools fly the Mexican flag only speak Spanish and the kids are not required to learn English. I don’t see any other country catering to minorities and illegals like this its disgraceful. Im so sick of Mexicans driving around causing trouble calling us gringos and flying the Mexican flag every where. Our country has a serious immigration issue that needs to be dealt with. But what is our fearless leader going to do about it? Grant them all amnesty and give them a bus ticket to where ever they want to go in the country bringing disease everywhere they go.

The ten commandments were the law not the bible. The old testament or Torah wasn’t written for quite some time after the ten commandments. The bible was even longer after the Torah. The bible combines the old and new testament and the new testament wasn’t written till long after the death of Jesus. The new testament wasn’t written by a single man but by all twelve disciples there is absolutely no proof the bible was changed and edited over the years other than into different languages and from old English to modern English. Atheists just like to claim it was changed to control people but provide no proof. The British crown controlling American banks i could believe but the Vatican controlling them is absurd. The catholic church and the United States government done exactly get along the vice president is not allowed to receive communion. Because a shaky YouTube video tells you something doesn’t mean its true. Im very into conspiracies but i very rarely get them off of YouTube. The whole Constitution being changed thing sounds like bs also seeing how the government rarely follows it. You would think they would have just taken out the amendments about free speech and the right to bear arms instead of leaving us with a document that tells us to over throw the government if it becomes corrupt.

yep, it’s sickening how people just frivolously dismiss this issue with the “you’re also an immigrant” argument. first of all the issue isn’t immigration, it’s illegal immigration.

secondly, people born in america aren’t immigrants, same as people born in england aren’t norman or german immigrants. and if we are to follow that logic to its natural conclusion, then native americans are immigrants also, since they originally came over from asia through the bering strait when it was above water.

third, immigration just a few decades ago, operated under completely different circumstances. and guess what, a few hundred years ago, immigration as we know it today didn’t exist. and the argument that illegals are necessary is itself pretty disgusting, immoral, callous, selfish. it’s also disrespectful to those who did abide by the laws which govern the country they plan to reside in, that’s usually an indicator of success as well.

there are people waiting years for approval. these people now have to compete with the illegals for jobs that they frankly deserve and need a lot more. the illegals can and often continue doing illegal activities such as dealing drugs and petty crime on the side.

I don’t like historical British Empire either… They oppressed half of the world back in the days and the Thirteen colonies had every moral right to declare independence in 1776. As far as my opinion is concerned, nowadays things has changed and USA is the master of UK and the rest of EU. This shouldn’t be the case either, but unfortunately, it is. The most corrupt and secrecy government towards his own citizens is probably the USA government. Just remember Edward Snowden, NSA, CIA, Federal Reserve, 9/11, … Us ordinary people, no matter where we are born and live, should fight for our common sense’ rights against every form of political pressure. Such as the guaranteed gun ownership and usage by the 2nd Amendment in USA’ Constitution, which nowadays government is trying to abolish by fabricating gun accidents all over the country and making hype against guns.
But, I as said above, American gun laws are the best. Period. It is written in the human nature since ancient times to use tools for self-defense and protection of his family and property. Nothing has changed today, only the ‘tools’ got better. Why the heck will you delegate the moral right to defend yourself to some government agency, call it police or else? And when someone threatens your life, by European law, you should just flee if possible, call the police if possible or beg for mercy if possible. And if you try to defend yourself, most of the times you will end up in a court or in jail, because the government says attacker also has ‘human rights’ and it is not up for you to harm him, but the police may. Even if it is life or death situation and police isn’t anywhere near most of the times. So much bulsh*t, so much political nonsense here in EU also.
But, in most Eastern European countries the healthcare is still (almost) free, the universities are still (almost) free, the privately owned homes are still (almost) above 90%, the bigger part of the population is still (almost) bank credit free, which is going on for us which is fine. And we can thank for these great traits to the ‘bad’ socialistic rule, as western dictators try to make you think. So bad we have our own houses and don’t have to pay loans from banks

The point is it don’t work. Compare the levels of homicides in the USA and in Europe.
