Oh you are ok with a weapon made originally for killing but then adapted for other uses. Its the same case with guns made for killing but then people found many more uses for it.
What is the difference between âstandard telescopic batonâ and totschlager? I thought that is the German word for the telescopic baton. This is the first pic google throws at me as totschlager:
First, I read too many articles about Czechs who had some small knife with them for bread or apple or whatever and got criminal charges for that while just cycling in Germany (or doing some other nice touristic activity). After all I am a law abiding citizen and if I am not sure that what I do is within the law, I donât do it.
Second, I canât really see myself using a knife against anyone. Maybe if I was defending GF or family member, but I am not sure if I could do it in defense of self. Gun takes much of the nastiness of knife away for me.

Its ironic because its called a self defense tool in your country but a death machine in others. Its the same way with guns.
The TotschlĂ€ger has a metalic ball at the top and it extends same as a âSpringmesserâ with a spring and not a slash/thrust like the normal telescopic baton. It can easily break a skull. Thatâs why itâs forbidden and the telescopic baton isnât.
Please define âmetal ballâ. The one I carry when I donât have a gun is the same as the one in the pic above.

OK, good to know. The interesting thing was that when I was trying to find out about legality of different self-defense means (from Czech perspective) I read quite a few blogs/forums/posts/articles of people who were crime victims in Germany and were crying out loud for not being able to have even a pepper spray to defend themselves and to walk defenseless the very streets they were attacked on every day. I canât imagine living in constant fear of being attacked/raped again like that.
Pepperspray is only allowed for women and elder people as far as I know. I as example donât go out at night that much because of the possibility of beeing mugged. And if I do, then I only Keep in the City. Iâm quite fit and young, so Iâm not scared of really beeing hurt, I can run ;). What I keep with me as defense most of the time is a âSpringmesserâ, because theyâre quite easy to carry in your pockets.

its not so much the fact that they kill that makes me say civilians shouldnt have them , its the damage they CAN do and what a miss aimed shot with a high powered weapon could do . easily fly through a wall or window and kill someone . there should at the very least be a weapons licence that you have to pass and a weapons handling test on any weapon you buy.
its not right that you can just walk in to the shop and walk out an hour later with a gun .

Hunting, sporting, collecting. I seriously doubt you were in the military. Anyone Iâve ever talked to whoâs served are very pro gun. A car can easily crash and kill a car full of innocent children yet you want cars legal. You are way more likely to be killed in a car accident than by a gun. So lets ban cars whoâs with me! Almost all American gun owners grew up around and used them since they were very young. Most families who own guns put there children through hunter safety like my own family does. As we already know banning guns would cause 2.5 million more violent crimes to occur. 80% of gun murders in America are committed by gangs. If the police cracked down on gangs instead of letting them run wild in cities such as Chicago we would have around 2000 murders per year. Then the illegal immigration issue. We dont even really have a border unless you count a rickety old fence that dosenât even have barbed wire on it. Roughly 2000 Americans are killed by illegals per year. Have proper border patrol and that takes away most of that 2000. Wow i just solved our murder rate without banning a single fire arm. Our government is completely incompetent and wants our guns so they can control us.

Never said zero but if we took care of those problems we would have under 1000 murders per year. I donât think you are getting the point PEOPLE WHO OWN GUNS LEGALLY KNOW HOW TO USE THEM. Conveniently all the bodies were cremated none of the parents actually cried tears for their dead children one father was actually laughing and smiling the day his daughter was killed on the news.
