I love this game, and have played it to death the last few days. Obviously, like most people and reviewers have pointed out, it is more buggy than a Bethesda game. My question is if it is common for some of your saves to disappear? I have lost around 10 hours of my 50 hours of gameplay due to saves simply not appearing when I have to reload due to a game breaking bug or accidentally committing a crime. I save frequently with Savior potions and have kept track of automatic saves after quests as well, and it seems like 70% of the time the saves won’t even be available to load.

I’m glad they are revamping the save system and all, but I hope they manage to fix the manual saves on my end, otherwise I feel like I’m going to just drop the game which is pretty lame without a chance of a refund.

I lost a full day of progress and some nice loot due to not saving on the PS4 - both automatic and manual saves. Tried deleting older saves and guess what? its saving again. Now Im paranoid and keep deleting saves to make sure it will save when needed. Add this to the laser beam rain effects from the last update and the fact i have to switch r2 - l2 for combat…
lets just say ive gone back to my heavily modded skyrim se for now, until this unplayable bugfest gets sorted.

I’m at least glad I’m not the only one with this glitch. I’ll try to continue after deleting older saves. Anyone else have the archery competition glitch where the one or both of the other archers never shoot an arrow and prevent the game from ending? Or getting stuck inside building due to invisible walls appearing in door ways?

Hello guys, we know that small amount of players have some issue on PS4 related to saving. I am trying to investigate this problem further because we didn´t encounter this problem during our tests and when we did we fixed them. So it would be very helpful if you could provide your saves from ps4 with some informations what you were doing when these issues occured.

I will need from you:
*short description about the problem (more information = bigger chance to find the problem)
*save files from the broken playline with info - exp. "i can´t save further from save n.XX "(http://www.ign.com/wikis/playstation-4/How_to_Transfer_PS4_Saves)
*VERSION - exp. “i started to play on versionXX and then switched to the version XX” (you can find the version in the information about application 1.01, 1.02,… or you can provide our intern version of the game which is visible in the main menu of the game 1.1,1.2 etc)

Were not all technologically inclined and have zero idea of what you want us to do. How can I give you save files that have been deleted do to a crash? Also by reading several post there’s not only a few who suffer this massive error, there are many. I’ve reported this problem twice to the support link and had no reply. What is going on? Some feedback would be nice. Your game is amazing but it’s hard to enjoy when you’re constantly afraid of losing all of your progress for the second time.

If you’re having save problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 glitches but corrupted saves aint one.

Also, lulz at “accidentally committing a crime”.

I’m sorry guard sir, my blade literally slid out of the sheathe and into the inn-keepers face all on its own.

Ya, I’ve had the archery glitch. I’d like to think it’s to keep you from spamming archery for grochen, but it’s definitely a glitch.

I haven’t had any save problems so far on my PS4. But the save system definitely needs reworking and patching. This should be the number one priority.

Lmao more like fighting Sir Robard in training, and after beating him it loads out and he automatically attacks me, even when I clearly stopped striking when I knew I won (he puts his arms to his side). Or getting stuck inside a building due to clipping glitches and getting charged for trespassing, with the only way to get out is going to jail. So I guess I am not accidentally committing crimes, the game just thinks I am. But it is funny the way you put it

you point out Bethesda. Fo4 on the regular PS4 has a save file limit, just as KCD. Problem is WH hasn’t developed the save mechanic as well so it creeps up on you and bites you.

I’ve lost sound and had q Sony CE fatal crash. (both reported to KCD support) (fwiw by this amount of gameplay with FO4 i had many more fatal crashes and performance hiccups – eg traveling thru Cambridge was a nightmare due to <10 fps etc). So far, deleting extra files has eliminated those performance problems. rendering and other core bug issues remain

You know, I was thinking that there was a save file limit that may be causing the issue, since most games on PS4 have a save file limit. But yeah, I guess until it is patched, I gotta manage it myself. Which isn’t that big of a deal, going forward at least.

For me Saving still works, but my buddy can’t save anymore! Hes uses a PS4Pro but i think that has nothing to do with it.

Now my current two up to date saves are corrupted it seems, as I try to load them in, it stops at the loading screens with the loading wheel showing about 1/4 full/red. And this was after deleting all but one other save to fix my previous issues. So, basically, I’m about to be set back another 10 hours.

Im thinking about writing an in depth review explaining how buggy this game really is, because this feels almost criminal. Not quite as criminal as No Man’s Sky, but close. I’ve never played a game with this many bugs before. Also, I noticed mid-game game combat is ridiculously easy.

Everybody is having issues on all platforms, the corrupt saves seem to be more PlayStations side, I play on the Xbox x and it crashes all the time and will corrupt saves if I play robber baron.

I lost around 70 hours cuz of this, my whole game wiped… never been more disappointed in a game and felt more stolen from in my whole life. Not worth the 60$ i paid to preorder

Crash occurred during the mission with a priest in Uzice, after the completion of the dialogues. The game gave an error message and when reloading the game indicated the removal of the save files.
PS plus does not help, when downloading files the game does not read them.

After i play the Robbery baron sidequest, i cant load any savegame i have. Everytime the Loading stops and there is Loading Mistake, German Laden Fehlgeschlagen. My savegame with 43 hours are broken and thats made me so damn sad. Please repair it quickly. I love this game so much.

Yeah I hope the WHS can find what the issue with the file corruption is on the PS4 end. Other bugs and glitches are easy to ignore at times, but to lose 60 hours of gameplay after paying $60 for a game just feels super crappy.

I could have used that time and money somewhere else; hell, I was initally gonna buy Skyrim SE and replay Skyrim for $40. But, I saw this game was released and figured I should take on a new adventure; man did I get shot down

I am 20+ hours in and I turned off the game for the night when I logged back in and updated the console with new patch i could not load my most recent game I am so frustrated after playing for so long and this happening it sucks! Warhorse please figure it out soon!

Terrible. Haven’t have load fail problem post v1.04 patch. That said, the release notes don’t mention save change so I fully expect the problem to still be in the wild
