From what I have seen so far, this does not look like a MMORPG game. In that case, what interactions will there be with NPC’s? Are we able to form a group with NPC companions etc? Or is this going to be more similar to Elder Scrolls, where someone may accompany you for a quest, but there are no companions?
More like the Elder Scrolls, according to the devs. You will have temporary companions but it’s not a party-based game.

i would like to see NPC companions since it could be very interessting with the combat features… so far we have only seen duel combat. what about small, medium and large battles?

Yeah, I wonder how the battles are going to function.
Will we be able to tell NPC’s what to do and have to control our character also?
Or will it switch to a “Strategy game view”?
Or will NPC’s do what they want and we will try to do what we want to do with our character?
I wanted a battlecat companion but we can’t have everything we want in life… or games.
Perhaps the best option would be NPC companions that have their own mini-backstory that you can become friends (or enemies) with during the game. As an alternative without backstory they could add retainers which can be hired and stick around only so long as the coins are flowing.
I personally am more of the ‘lone wolf’ type. I prefer doing things on my own. I feel like more often than not, NPC companions just get in my way. Even so, it would be nice to see something like what @MJJ mentioned - being able to hire NPCs and take them on adventures.
