Armour formula

I’m just curious right now, what is the actual armour formula? In detail, how does weapon attack vs armour equate to stamina and health lost? I’d test it myself, but I’m getting so many hangups that I effectively just can’t play the game at all.

Healthy is generally lost after stamina is drained, however polearms may damage your HP even without draining your stamina.
Everything is good aganist everything pretty much but historically speaking and for ez tincan open there’s this
Axes and maces aganist plate armor (because axes have the weight of a mace but the cut ability of a sword) so blunt vs armor
Swords/Axes/Sabres aganist anything that isn’t plated armor, chainmail is still fine, I used a sword my whole playthrough, mind you, it’s good, it has good range and a solid damage output, it staggers enemies that don’t take damage.

That is not at all what I asked.

Some weapons damage HP even if you have full stamina, a hit depends on your strength level and weapon damage and opponent’s armor if you hit someone with full HP and stamina but he’s wearing no helmet you can oneshot him.
I remember absolutely wrecking Bernard in a training with a wooden mace just by spamming and he started losing HP almost instantly as opposed to swords and axes which took a while so maces drain your HP and stamina in fewer hits than swords and axes on plate armor, all I know.

That’s also not what I asked.

What is it you want then.

The actual formula, or at least an approximation. And you don’t know it, and haven’t tested it, so why are you responding to this thread?

Woah, what’s this aggression friend? Dude just tried to be helpful. No need to be a dickhead, no?

I think you’re reading that into it.

1 sword swing = 1 dead opponent and roughly 7% stamina loss.

1 riposte = 1 dead enemy.

At least in the later game.

In all honesty there’s too many things coming into play for anyone to be bothered to test it. You have to take into account weight of your weapon, weight of your inventory, weapon type, stats, perks, enemy armour, enemy skill, buffs, de buffs, weapon condition, armor condition… so on, so forth.

So yeah… knock yourself out.

So, near as you can tell, armour doesn’t seem to do much of anything, at least most of the time. That’s disappointing. Good thing there’s going to be mod support.

Stamina loss depends what hits on what, like I’ve said, there’s no exact %.
Mw2ruinslives said that 1 sword swing is 1 dead, that’s what happens when you have lv 20 strength but with shit strength and swordsmanship you need a few hits and plated enemies are hard and will bounce hits altogether without losing much stamina at all.
