Apparently KCD got a bit confused about my weapon selection. I suspect it thought I had pressed ‘1’ and ‘2’ at the same time. In any event, the arrow shown in this screen grab appears to be different than the usual arrows found in the game.

Stangely enough, once I loosed the bow string, the sword became an arrow…
I took the bow off a dead cuman archer. It has combat rating 74 instead of the '40s or '50s for village and hunting bows.
There’s at least two types of 'Cuman Bow". One has better stats.
Although… none have been able to fire swords, that I know of…

I didn’t know there were multiple Cuman bow types. Guess I need to pay more attention.
Through incessant hunting/poaching, beating on Capt. Bernard, and chumps, my bow skill is 17 with agility 12, strength 16. Coupled with piercing arrows, if a target isn’t heavily armored they go down with one arrow, even if the arrow isn’t a sword. last night I ran out of piercing arrows so was using better-long-distance arrows (120 damage vs 130). A fully armored Cuman guy took over 10 arrows before he dropped. Probably bad aim, putting a couple through the visor usually is best.
