Öl there is the possibility to See flying objects. Your eyes are Just better at seeing fluent movements than it is possibility to depict with a PC Monitor. So thought Traces are the way to put the effect you See irl to a Monitor, for it is the only was to know where you are shooting since 1080p is a bit smaler than what you See with your eyes and the feathers of the Arrow are Not visible anymore after a few Meters in Game.
I know how it looks when you shoot a real bow. And therefore i know that it does not look like a comic 
I never stated it Looks Like that in real Life, have you even read my Post? I Said this is as close to real Life as you can be while still offering the possibility to See where you are shooting!
No, in my opinion it is not. And to be honest it seems as if i don´t really understand what you mean in your last post.
Maybe it would be better if there was a more subtle effect, like a shader effect that makes arrows in flight stand out, or a blurry comet-tail effect rather than a full arc of what looks like white smoke.
I’ve used a bow for target shooting when I was a kid/teenager, and it is a lot easier to aim and track the arrow in real life than it is in this game. The reason is that the arrow is close to my eye and my body…and when I release it, it stays “close” to my eye and body long enough to know how it is dropping. In this game, I’m not close to the arrow, since the screen is more than 2 ft away from me. So already there is a disconnect…and then the arrows become smaller faster than in real life. Although this game is first person perspective, it is not from my perspective. I think that the only way that you could completely simulate using bows would be to use a VR headset. Feel free, if you have used bows in real life, to express a different opinion…I could just suck using bows in this game.

thats a good explanation, but its the reason why a compromise should be the best possibility. You need something to aim, but tracers wont help at all. Give us a circle or something like that and the option to put it off. Shouldn´t be that huge problem.
On PC you can keep the gold dot for bows 2 ways.
console command it on
use the nexus mod bow dot.
I use it like a sight pin on my old compound bows.
I use it to adjust the hold over for the shot.
Non PC ; there is post that explains where to look to aim using a hunting glove.
I agree with the comment about the difficulty of tracking the arrow on a screen and personally don’t mind the traces tho a tiny bit less bright white be ok.
