I tracked town the two bandits who stole the moldavite. I killed them but neither of them had a key to open the chest. I had to settle for the lesser moldavite stone in order to complete the quest as i haven’t levelled up my lockpicking. Is there meant to be a key on the bandits?
Never found one either but as far as i remember it is quite an easy lock - so just try a little
Yeah, I had to level up lockpicking some before I finished this quest. But the trunk was still there and I came back and opened it.
I’m pretty sure there was a key during one early version, but there wasn’t in 1.7. No idea about previous versions, or when it was removed.
I did about ten runthruoghs (normal and Hardcore) since kdc was releases anderen i can’t remember ever finding a Key for that Trunk…
