Just wanted to balance out some of the complaints this game has been getting with some positive impressions.
It’s not perfect by any stretch, there are obvious issues, bugs and some polish and optimisation required, but so many complaints about it seem to be due to simple misunderstanding. The save system isnt a problem when you can just fast travel to an Inn, the combat is fast and enjoyable once you improve at it - and I thoroughly enjoy longer duels against better equiped and skilled opponents. Lock picking and archery suck, but once practiced are also steadily improving and the sense of accomplishment when they are successful is much higher than in equivalent games.
There are so many moments that have made me laugh, drinking with father Godwin is my personal highlight so far.
There are issues but the game is great and can’t wait to see where it goes in the future.
Cheers!
