I bought KCD yesterday and have experienced disgraceful amount of lag. I’m getting between 10-15 fps in the starting village. Running the game on a dell inspiron 7559 with 8gb of ram, an i7-6700hq cpu @2.60ghz with a Nvidia 960m . Is my computer to low spec for this game and if so what needs improving (e.g. more ram?) or is the game poorly optimised
Have you tried you putting all settings on low at 1080p? And what operating system are you on? If anything is bottlenecking you I suspect it’s the GPU, but definitely not your RAM.
I’m running the game on lowest setting in fulscreen. when I switch to the smallest windowed dimensions fps rises to 20 but its too small to play. Using Windows 10 home and an intel HD graphics 530

What? Why aren’t you using your Nvidia 960m as opposed to on-board intel graphics?

Hmm, I personally haven’t owned an Nvidia GPU in a while. You may have actually uninstalled the Nvidia drivers which is why your PC is using the intel on-board GPU now.
Presumably though you can just navigate to the Nvidia website and have it auto detect your system, it should install the appropriate drivers afterwards.
Turns out I had uninstalled the drivers and now I feel very foolish
