Backers that Get Swords

I would just like a little more information on the quality of the sword that the emperor and up get and where and how its made. (maybe not all of that :P)

Here is the information Warhorse provided me:
About a sword: It’s a medieval european 15th century one-handed sword. It is real-sized hand-forged weapon created by local blacksmith, not a serial production. It can be used for combat or combat training, you can choose whether it’s sharpened or not. (We will communicate with you via e-mail once campaign ends regarding the details.)
At this moment we cannot tell you more about real dimensions and weight, it isn’t forged yet  But shipping costs is nothing to worry about, we have this covered I believe. Especially for US / Canada and Europe.
One hand Blade will be around 60-80 cm.

Wow, thanks for that speedy reply!

U are Welcome

I’m only an Earl since there was no point for me to get the swords backer levels.

I already have quite the selection of medieval arms and armour, including swords worth over 1300 pounds. :stuck_out_tongue:

And I’m just not into action figures. So the only higher backer levels without a sword aren’t attractive either.

By the description, how much do you think the sword we are getting is worth. (Even though its not antique of course.)

Judging by economics, less than the amount you pledged, probably by a decent amount too as they have to factor in shipping + materiel + labor to make the sword + the money they will use to fund the game.

haha, yea I wasn’t expecting to get a steal.

If it’s sharpened you might need a permit first. Here in Denmark you need a permit to own a sword. No idea how it is in other countries, but it might be something to check out.

You need a permit to own a sharp sword? Well, that is ridiculous. Do you have licenses for bows and crossbows too (like gun licences)? I would guess Denmark is quite an exception and would not worry about it very much elsewhere.

Does anyone know the legal situation in germany concerning swords?

I’m not 100% sure if a sharpened sword would be problematic here (i guess not, but maybe someone here knows for sure)

Hi FelixG, you are allowed to own it (at home), but you are NOT allowed to carry it around.

-> More details

Great, thanks!

I guess when it comes to carrying a sword around in public, people would freak out and call the police no matter if it’s sharpened or not

I’d hope they make a making-of video

That would be great!

Hello Ahmad. You dont want two swords, one extra from me in exchange for your ingame church portrait? You get the conciliatory cross inscription also. I asked you yesterday in the kickstarter forum and got no answer. Even if its a negative answer it would be nice of you if you would answer me. Warhorse studios say its ok if someone is willing to trade.

Thank you but i don’t need extra sword, and i am dividing the rewards with my brother who is paying for half the pledge money to me.
Sorry,
Sincerly

Hello Ahmad .Thank you for the answer but as you may have noticed I am a Pope know so now I will maybe have my church portrait next yours, who knows. Hopefully they change my title soon in the forum I think I have earned it…
