Band of Bastards DLC characters die too fast

Is it me or the characters in the dlc die superfast in a battle?

Jacky dies as soon as he enters any battle. So is Stephen Fletcher. I am at the third patrol and only Kuno and The Rock survived. Rest died. Whats the point of new characters if they die that fast?

I tried reloading and playing again. But same. At max 2-3 people survive (Including Kuno. it seems hes un killable). Rest die very fast. Its like they got no fighting skill at all.

Anyone faced something similar?

Only you, probably … in my game they did not die before the last battle with Zoul

Stepan died in the battle ant the river but respawned shortly after. Only Kuno can die permanently before the last battle. In the battle with Hagen they can all die permanently.

How did they respawn? After second patrol, i went to the camp by fast traveling. No one respawned. only 3 ppl were there.

They respawn where they died. And then they ride on their horses back to camp. If you fast travel you will propably arrive before them. Just wait a bit.

Thanks! i waited 24 hours and all were back!!. But in the last fight Stone died

Helpful little tip if someone didn’t already tell you. Every member of the band except Kuno is flagged as essential and while they can be damaged and KO’d they cannot be killed until the final confrontation with Zoul, or if you take it upon yourself to kill Kuno early for whatever reason.

They don’t respawn they just get knocked unconscious and will eventually just stand back up. Its no different than if you choked an NPC out, but instead of sneaking up behind them your bludgeoning them in the head with a mace lol

Or, they get knocked out :face_with_head_bandage:. (Mercy kill option appears but grayed out suggesting not dead). You carry one of them half way across the map back to camp . Then, you take a nap, and wake up to find he’s back where you got him :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth: but returning :man_facepalming:

The blind indifference to fellow fallen comrades (bastards) is disappointing. At a minimum, expected Kuno and/or the others to respond something like ‘where’s that bastard XYZ?’. Beyond that, a ‘Can one of you bring him back to camp?’ and then put him on my horse (or his respective horse) and return to camp.

As professional mercs, they appear weak in health and/or defense.

Hey, in my playthrough everyone died very quickly in the last battle n’ I had to beat up 6 or more enemies alone.
But I’m, espically in this game, not a friend of reloading, so I’m the only one who escaped.
I see the whole dlc as a try for implementing something like ‘look theres war n’ not everyone will survive’.
But its made a Little poor cause of lacking a bigger binding to the pack.

Yes, they are not dead by definition but let´s be real… nobody knocks his enemy out and then just lets him sleep there. For me they are dead.

The AI in this game is terrible.
I saw Radzig walking randomly so I followed him and eventually we ran into a 3 bandit encounter to which Radzig spit some random dialogue and went charging in…with no weapon.

Good thing the AI is super junk because after he charged in fists a flying the enemy AI targeted me and me only as if he wasnt even there…thank god since he didnt bother grabbing a sword.

You can carry people on your horse? Like you can in RDR2? I had no idea. Once I can figure out how, I’m going to kill a bandit and parade their body through towns as a warning. And to see how the NPCs will react.

Carrying a body is already a crime. Guards would try to arrest you.

Just completed the DLC and all the mercs had no weapons. I reloaded to previous saves and for the last 3 missions not one of them had a weapon, so when the last battle came they all just ran in fists flying and got slaughtered. I hope WH fix it so they can get their weapons back if they lose them. Otherwise it is impossible to keep them alive.
Plus you can’t loot them anyway.

True you can’t loot them but they do drop their weapons when knocked out before the encounter with Zoul, ergo they can accidentally not pick their gear back up and when knocked out and you can in fact pick their gear up even prior to their deaths which will be flagged as stealing.

All they have to do is flag Kuno’s band like they flagged the guards and make them just spawn new weapons and shields when they get back up, then it wouldn’t be an issue as its not like any of them have anything in particular that’s even good. I think Kuno himself has a Stinger Shortsword (which is amazing) but the rest of the band carry worthless garbage as far as weapons go, hell even their shields are trash only offering I think 99 Defense.
