I have successfully raided the bandit camp in Vranik forest. Among others i have hit the iron clad leader with my arrow. He ran away. I could not find him.I have been waiting for him for some time now, he is not in the camp and even nowhere around.
There is , however, still the marker on the map reminding me of finishing him off. i presume as well that till this guy is finished, i will not be getting any other task from cpt bernard. what to do ?
I have the same proplem with the cuman leader of a cuman camp. I ran away because I was too weak, he chased me until loosing me. I can’t find him now anymore despite the marker beeing at the same place.

Same thing happened to me on a bandit camp. I kept going back to check. Eventually after a few days (of in game time), the leader was there again. He was just standing there like a statue exactly where the icon said he should be. I killed him with an arrow and everything was working normal then.
see, that i am hoping to be my case as well… but so far no luck… i will keep on coming .
Yeah, I was worried about it too after someone gave me the same advice I just gave you. Just be patient, it will fix itself. This happened to a bunch of people and everyone seems to report the same thing.
for me on pc version 1.4.2 after i killed anybody in these camps, some days later there spawn new bandits/cumans. but i have to say. i always hide the bodies when i am done with the camps.
Npcs Will repawn in some time Just do some other Quests in the meanwhile and go back after a few hours they should All respawn if not the leader should be there considering you didnt kill him or take his stuff
What probably happened… you wounded him. He ran away, and eventually died somewhere from bleeding wounds. It is super hard to find them in the woods when they do that if you didn’t chase after them.
You need to go do other stuff for a few days or a week or so, and wait for the camp to respawn.

I lost sight of a bandit at one camp.
I was tired and hurt, so I slept in the camp.
After a couple of hours of sleep I was awoken by the missing bandit.
He died.

I came like 5 times in the camp, still no one. …
Had cuman leader fall underground. Waited and another group respawned. That time i snatched his stuff in the middle of battle

Came again today, slept on the mat, he did not come…
Perhaps trying finding another bandit camp. Get the Bandit Leaders Spurs, turn them into Captain Bernard. He then should close the quest. Then hand out a new location…
In the past I have been able to sell Bandit Leader Spurs to Captain Bernard. I had found these on my travels, attacking other bandit camps.
