Hey folks, has anyone got an idea as to how long bandit camps remain deserted after you have killed the occupants. I have come back to one or two I know of and they’re still deserted but the fire is going which is odd.
I also think it would be great if when people call out to Henry he could respond somehow. You know “Henry’s come to see us” Glad to see you Henry" and you press a button and he says “and you” or “it’s good to be here”.
At least a game week.
Id Settle for NPC’s who never saw him before not say the stupid her to visit line.
Take a nighttime approach and aim to draw single bandits out of the camp by shooting arrows at the ones that are furthest from the others.
By some trick of game mechanics a bandit will instantly know the direction the arrow cam from, even if it hits them. So they will leave their post/stew pot and walk in your direction, by doing this at night you can back away slowly and their LOS is decreased so if you’re not wearing bright clothing they’ll not see you until they’re very close, then sneak up close to them when they turn to walk back to the camp and knife them from behind (Dagger and Stealth kill perk needed).
If you’re a decent archer then you can circle the camp at a distance and pick off the easiest ones to shoot at.
You can typically rinse and repeat this after they settle down again. If more than one gets up to examine the area typically one will wander further than the others, stalk them and deal with them on their own.
The good part of this is that if one does end up seeing you but is far enough from the camp if you get into combat but keep retreating further away from the camp there is a good chance that the bandit will isolate themselves and the others will not be alerted.
Approach 2 Go in hot
Again taking a nighttime approach will see a couple of bandits sleeping or not wearing all their gear. So if you barrel into the camp and start swinging you should be able to fell a few guys before they’ve even have a chance to draw their weapons leaving you the easier job of tackling maybe two or three guys in combat instead of all 6 that were camping there.
The nighttime approach again allows you to get as close as possible before going ape on them thus keeping the element of surprise in your favour.
using Padfoot potion will help. and for not near the fire Nighthawk too.
