It is still possible to find bandits or cumans at ranom encounters, which are marked as “good fellow”. I just met a set of cumans fighting guards. One cuman surrendered. But after the fight was over, he attacked me. After me killing him, the guards turned aggro at me 
You cannot loot these special guys with a simple click at E. You have to hold down the button E like if you want to plunder a guard or merchant
Yesterday at a random encounter: 3 guards fighting 3 bandits. Me and another guard add. At the end the last guard gets killed by the other guards oO
