Ok so I’ve had to reload a save here about 20 times , not because of a game breaking glitch but because it is not possible to complete , you can hide which somehow results in all your men getting slaughtered or you can fight and eventually get shot by archers with nothing you can do to stop them because the archery system is so unreliable you can’t hit a target from further than 10 metres away , please someone tell me how they have done it or whether I am missing something stupid , first big scale battle completely ruined just need to get past it somehow

Having the exact same problem, constantly doing it over and over again and another thing the game keeps pushing me right into the enemy and i cant control it, driving me mad!
a) Sabotaging before the battle starts helps a lot
b) Bring enough men!
c) Set the hay next to the cuman camp on fire so the archers can’t aim
Should be pretty simple then tbh

I’m having the same problem, any way to actually defeat it? I know how to defeat runt and all but I just can’t get past the second “stage” of the battle (the second wave, aka right before you face off against runt) because too many men die…
2nd edit: Now I can’t even get past fighting into the camp, let alone getting to Runt. Please help, i’ve been playing for almost 20 hours just leveling up and getting better gear in order to be able to defeat this quest…still can’t.
Edit: I’ve poisoned all food pots and lit all arrows on fire…still getting game over because too many men have died, please help.
I had the same problem, sabotaged everything but was unable to finish it then I’ve found the haystack, which forced archers to run down and be killed by our soldiers. It is at the moment the cart is moved and the haystack is on the left side before entering the courtyard. After that, the fight was still tough, but I finished this in the first run after setting haystack to fire.
