So, As many also have suffered, i unfortunately had the ‘Too many of your men have died’ Bug aswell.

Luckily, With some quick googling i quickly found that i could get around it, Simply downloading a save game file from someone that saved just before the fight with Runt i was able to kill him and continue playing this wonderfull game.

Simply Download the save game from https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/186 and follow the instructions.

Apologies if this is against forum rules, i simply found the fix and want to share it with those suffering the same issue as i did

how many of the side quests are already done in this savegame?

I checked the Nexus page and according to the description provided the save seems to be aimed at making the fight with Runt more difficult not at fixing the bug itself.

I had hoped - no, PRAYED, that this would get me past the “Too many of your men have died” curse, but alas, when the save (from NexusMods) is loaded, I’m HUNG at the “Treasures of the Past” DLC screen that will NOT close! Bottom right icon says to hold ESC, but I have hit & held every button on the keyboard and can’t get past this screen! In my “other” saves, I am well past this DLC screen.
HELP!

Is there an actual fix for this yet? The game is unplayable.

Edit:
I have found that the tutorial or help screen freeze is caused by the “Cheat” mod (by spraguep), it has nothing to do with the save file. If you have this problem, exit the game- disable the Cheat mod (temporarily remove that folder from the MODS folder and restart the game. You will then be able to progress past the help screen and (if needed), exit the game again and reinstate the Cheat folder.
These “Help screens” occur only a few times in the game (i.e. Miller teaching you how to pick locks, etc.).

Ceat will also now cause a lock up /ctd with the use of the “own all stolen items” command.
