these are fun to watch, and i think in one of their dev updates they showed this in the background or something, and they said this or something else similar to this inspired their combat system.
Yeah, I definitely saw one of the Team USA shields in one of the videos!
While I can see how they’d draw inspiration, our fighting techniques aren’t exactly historical, so I’m sure it’d be more the likes of HEMA for the actual combat system.
Although, saying that, any technique does have a tendency to go out the window as soon as you’re facing off against several opponents.

Oh by the way here is something else that’s rather neat.
Sure, they’re using modified versions that take out the fun aspect of trying not to get killed, but it’s pretty cool nonetheless.
Look what I already have on my desk! 
So yeah we will probably be there, maybe to sponsor the tournament, or the Czech team… Or we could have a booth with beer and some SWAG :). We’ll see. But it’s more a cool action event than a historical reenacting!

Day 3 BOTN 2015 Prague live stream
Lol trying to watch 1 on 1 and this guy keeps blocking the feed.
That was good event there, met Tobi at the beer tent and got to see the new fighting system 
Also saw Dan Vavra walking around and taking pictures 
And shitload of crazy fights, I’m medieval fighter myself but would never go to such hardcore fight, I like myself too much

I actually recorded that day (was tired of sleeping through the good fights).
That final match with Russia and Ukraine was epic I had never seen or heard of a draw in the 5 v.s. 5.
I was always wearing a warhorse cap w/ bright color. Also a blue jacket, because my arms were totally sunburnt. Should be easy to find. For reference:

Yes, Tobi was showing short video of the fight system at the beer tent, where WH was headquartered, only at his phone, but it was nice The fight should be in next alpha update…

I didn’t get to see it either, although I visited @TobiTobsen pretty often. I hope he still has it on his phone.
BTW: I’ll upload the 21 vs 21 Ukraine vs. Russia next week. Right now I don’t have a laptop to transfer the files from the phone and convert it to smaller filesize.
