Best armor for baptism of fire

wondering what everybody has equipped when entering this battle. do you equip the most expensive or heaviest armor (eg something like noble cuirass)? do you wear role specific armor (eg, stick to light stuff if playing as thief or archer)? or somewhere in between?

this is my build:
Armor

  • Aachen dark brigandine
  • Aachen gauntlets
  • Cuman vambraces
  • Dark padded coif
  • Dark Saxon gambeson
  • Noblemen’s brown hose
  • Noble’s mail coif
  • Quartered combat jacket
  • Reinforced Cuman hauberk
  • Silent shoes
  • Knight spurs
  • Briana’s ring
  • Necklace

Weapons

  • Dagger
  • St George’s sword
  • Cuman metal shield
  • Cuman bow
  • Better piercing arrow

have a ton of plate, chain etc stored away. debating to go as is or put on tank armor

I don’t know the quests by name, but I guess it’s Vranik, right?
I use this:

  • Magdeburg armour (leg armour, pauldrons and cuirass),
  • Nobleman’s Gauntlets,
  • Noble’s Mail Coif,
  • Mail for legs (don’t know the name),
  • Heavy Mail Hauberk,
  • Brocade Outer Jacket,
  • Decorated Arming Doublet,
  • Dark Padded Coif,
  • Necklace (only for charisma obviously) and
  • Warhorse helmet (which is sadly the best helmet available, though I did switch to the Arching Bascinet later because I want to put the Warhose stuff in my chest).
  • Golden Spurs

As for weapons:

  • St. George’s sword (with no shield, because longsword and shield prevents you from using combos),
  • Decorated dagger (the one for rituals),
  • Yew Longbow and
  • Piercing arrows (I switch to better ones when necessary and also use Better Long Distance Arrows for long distances)

thx for sharing. think have all except brocade outer jacket and decorated arming doublet. where/how did you acquire them?

Not sure, I may have gotten them from the Rattay tailor.

Sitting on +200k. Guess I should buy something from him or her (trader) now besides tailor kits
