i just wanted to know which type of merchant it’s best to sell jewelry, ornate goblets and those types of things to. if there is even one at all.
Have you tried your fences at the millers and other random npcs you meet in wayfarer encounters on the road?
In general the millers pay the best, but I’m not sure about specific things.
I do know that you definitely shouldn’t sell swords to a swordsmith and armour to an armourer.
I’d suggest looking how much apothecaries pay for goblets.
General merchants offer an average amount for everything.
ok so i’ll sell to the millers. but why souldn’t you sell swords to swordsmiths? the armor and weapons type vendors have the biggest piles of coin i’ve seen vendors have.
Weapons merchants have a lot of weapons, so they’ll offer little to buy more because they don’t need more. The same with any other stuff.
huh. didn’t knnow that. i’ll need to keep that in mind and check that.
And you can also flood the market. If you sell a hundred swords and you come back next week and sell another hundred swords to the same merchant he’ll pay less for them. So don’t always sell to the same merchants.
And if you haggle in the merchant’s favour your reputation will increase, which will make them offer you better prices in the future. (Doesn’t matter if you give them 1 groschen more or a hundred, both have the same impact).
