I am doing an ‘honorable’ playthru of this game. I am trying to find the best sword I can get without stealing anything. I am wondering if there is any way to get the Queen of Sheba’s sword legit, or what the best sword you can get is.
Do you include treasure hunting as stealing? If not, St-George sword can be found in a treasure chest.

yeah st gerorge’s sword is in treasure chest 7, hard lock pick in a woodland garden north east of ledetchko
st michael’s sword is in a grave very close the the bandit camp across the river and to south of ledetchko and can also be achieved by doing one of the missions to do with either hans or hanush i forget
magdeburg sword can be looted from some bandits
longinus sword is in a grave north west of skaltz
herod’s sword can be bought in rattay swordsmith and pribyslavitz swordsmith and maybe sassau too
stinger can be looted from dead bandits
noble’s sword at a location east of rattay in the woods near some other treasure locations
tusk can be bought from bribyslavitz swordsmith
Mmmm, it isnt stealing, but it definitely isnt knightly, especially if lock picking is involved. I wish they added an option to break open doors and chests, based on your strength. Kind of the anti stealth way to achieve the same thing.
Then the best sword is probably St-Micheal’s, that you get as a reward from Sir Hanush after sucessfully completing the Waldesian quest. This sword looks nice too, it is identical to the one carried by Sir Radzig.
You could surely loot some other sword randomly on bandits, etc. (Soul slicer comes to mind in prebyslavizt.)
