Missing features

  • Hot key to remove HUD (compas, stamina bar, dot …) for taking nice screenshots
  • Visual indicator that you are in fight, cause music is nice, but starts to get on my nerves after several hours and I can hear it even when I wake up in the morning. Anyways music is not consistent with fights, fight music loop can last forever or you can’t sleep cause you are in fight while music is normal. Both cases are neverending fight bug.
  • NPCs should say “Hello” or smile at you or each other at least sometimes. They all seem pretty reserved at best. Perhaps except Marianna at one point, but flirting is not supported by facial animation.
  • Water in buckets.
    Regarding to music, I dont know if adding more will help. Try to listen one Boney M album lasting 40 minutes 5 times in a row to see what I mean :slight_smile: although KCD music is not that “catchy” or how to say it in English

Happend to me as well. Not much to show after the sword tutorial ends. I got swarmed just as it ended when I left the arena area and never had a chance to pull my sword to defend myself. And there was no time to hit the record button to shoot some video of it either.

Yeah no worries, one is enough to provide us with visual clues of what might have happened :slight_smile: . In most cases, screenshots are sufficient enough, but in this case, several factors might be at fault and having a video can help to rule some of them out and narrow down the issue.

I wouldn’t dare :slight_smile: (that’s something only my friends have to put up with, tehehehe).

At the moment, I’m digging through all the submitted reports and there’s a lot to go through. I’m not sure I understand the report properly, but everything Load/Continue related is at the moment worked on and using it might break the game in a totally unexpected ways so it’s best to avoid testing this feature until a patch is deployed.

If you however encounter any issues, crashes especially, keep reporting them and don’t be afraid to overemphasize, that the crash occurred without using Continue/Load as this will help with proper prioritization of issues.

I have one question regarding Gameplay, is it possible to take a Torch in hand without unsheathing the sword at the same time? (For the moment each time I want to light the zone I am forced to draw my one handed sword or to unequip it to achieve this goal).

During the night I can also see that noone have torches, NPCs are walking around in complete darkness (don’t know if this would have perf issues at this time…). I don’t know if it is just me but I think the day passes really quickly, just as the sunset who is very very quick, it could be interesting to slower the time a bit in my opinion.

Three last remarks regarding weapons. First I don’t know if I’m wrong but I don’t remember seeing a single scabard for the swords, will them be added later? Secondly I really think the bow should be placed in a more “realistic” position when equipped. Finally, when you have the bow in your hands and you want to pick an arrow you shoot, Henry first puts the bow in his back, then take the arrow, I think you should be able to take objects with the bow in hand as it only requires one hand to be worn.

The terrain doesn’t correctly cast shadows during dawn/dusk, especially when the sun is at or below the horizon. This produces weird patches of sunlight during sunrise and sunset, even though the sun is not visible. And now with the volumetric fog effect this causes strange light shafts coming out of the terrain. This has been present ever since the first Alpha.

i was able to get the game running and was playing for a while. suddenly, during a conversation with the inn keeper, the game started doing this forced scroll through all the dialog options.

I can confirm that some answers (dialog) are without the sound, however other with same person is dubbed. I thought that is intentional.

While first asking about Reeky, woman mention Lubosh (in subtitles) but says Jacob.

Clipping is quite bad as we already know. I checked a couple of times and it doesn’t rain (anymore?) in the houses but i’d like to point out that also smoke is passing through walls. This one is in the tavern just down from the castle where there is a torch on the wall outside.

After beating the soldier who was hitting on the bar maid I am no longer able to move, open inventory, map or bring my torch out. Its as if the key press is activated then cancelled straight away.

I have reloaded the game and it does it every time.
