►Beta 1.0 Bug List (serious bugs)

Is really necessary to attack other members of the forum? If there is someone to blame, that would be us, the developers. Yes, the save/load issue is something we didn’t expect to show in the Beta, it’s a bug and are we are working on the patch. Its not so easy as it sounds, so we need more time. Unfortunately can’t confirm when we release the patch. Thank you for patience.

Uhm I was the one attacked, I made a post about the autosave issue then tsunamik went out his way to point me out. they just deleted their comments.

On related note:

When I start arena, there is animation sequence of my opponent doing fancy stuff for viewers - when you press button to skip this animation, enemy is stucked in his “cheering” animation, but already moving towards me like he is fighting.

Game crashes when trying to load save, also cant drop anything auto goes to horse even if horse is no where to be found. Pretty crazy how bad the save bug is rofl.

I cant pick some thistles. Its hard to find them in the first place. Then its irritatting when I cant pick them up. The prompt just wont show up.

I had some critical bug in game today. After returning to Talmberg to Reeky’s father from military camp game crushed to windows. And crashes 5 times after that, and always had same log:

A little bit later i try to load previous save and got the same critical bug and game crashed to windows. This happen after digging hidden money and asking Hynek’s father about this money.

I have a problem with my horse - After I fought by the shaft with three bandits my horse stopped sprinting, it could only gallop while I held shift key, but the sprint - by hitting shift key twice doesn’t work. It remained whole day till I scouted the camp. When I loaded the game today - heading out of the camp to report to Robard, I have found, that my horse cannot even gallop anymore. It only walks the slowest possible way. So it’s faster to go by foot. Any other mountable horse works just fine, but mine horse…

Encountering the problem with big battle aswell.

Also I find funny that sometimes my opponents - Cumans in the woods forget to unsheath their sword while they rush towards me for fight.

The last thing I find unrealistic is the speed of changing weapons, it takes ages to put the bow on my back and unsheath my sword, My Henry just unsheaths like he’s paralized.

The same with me - after the fight against Runt’s men, my horse suddenly stopped sprinting and double hitting the LShift doesn’t do anything. I thought it could be due to my hevier weight, since I took some things from the bandits (but still under the limit), so I tried to throw away all my wears -> the horse stopped even running while holding LShift then! This never happened to me before (even in the alpha).

Every time the games crashes before big battle. I can talk to him about which routes we can take then crashes.

Your horse has a weight limit. This seems to include (or at least interact with) the weight you are carrying - it gets overburdened if both you and it are near your limit and cannot run.

Sell, drop or store in the blacksmith’s chest anything you don’t need and you will have a running horse again. As you cannot fight on horse back, and running is ‘easier’ than steering the horse at speed I generally use it as a mobile luggage, but it is nice to walk around with the horse as well sometimes.

I’m guessing I am one of the lucky ones regarding serious bugs the only major bug I encountered was the CTD before the battle at the end.(19 gameplay hours)
the fps issue which for me it’s kinda playable but annoying in the range of 25-40 fps… and another 2 bugs not in the category of serious but funny, was sometimes when I drop an apple and afterwards you see it as a great red balloon with “apple” writing on it and annoying bug where you can’t jump a 20cm wall (sometimes) but you can above that height…
the combat is great, fluid but locking mechanism needs more work…
graphics are amazing to my opinion.
even though it’s Beta I’d like to say to the developers well done and thanks on a good work, I’m confident that at the end you’ll give us the game which you and us envisioned to be and lastly to say thanks on the effort which clearly we can all see in this game- well done and keep up the good work!

See my reply - the weight is obviously not the reason, or more - it works countrariwise - the less things (weight) you carry, the slower the horse is:-)

I can’t seem to help testing the beta because I can’t even play yet.

First, after getting the e-mail a couple days ago, I came to the site and spent like 15 minutes looking for my steam key (that the e-mail said I would have) but couldn’t find it anywhere. Ashamed of my stupidity, I decided to ask on the forums but as soon as I got here I noticed that there would be no steam keys, so I guess it wasn’t my stupidity after all. Ok.

So I downloaded the launcher and waited for the game to download and install. I assumed it would run fine since I could play the tech alphas from my brother’s pledge, so as soon as I got into the game, I max’d my settings and started a new game.
After the loading, a quick cutscene starts with our hero arriving somewhere, but like a few seconds after it starts the scene, the game crashes to desktop without any errors or reports.
I’ve tried it dozens of times and it crashes almost always at the same point (when we see some guards over a drawbridge)
The game was running fine and smooth but still I decided that maybe it could be some deep performance issue and lowered my settings before trying again. Once again, crash.

After a lot of frustrated attempts, I’ve decided to reinstall the game. Maybe it was a corrupted download or something. I removed it from the PC and started the launcher again. The download starts but stops after a minute with error 0x2F7D "Unknown bundle setup error"
I looked it up on the forums and the only match says that when running it as administrator, it works fine. Well, didn’t work fine for me, still getting the error so I can’t even reinstall the game now…

nvidia gtx 780 with latest drivers

Any ideas/suggestions?

Initially running as administrator did make it download for longer but it has crashed towards the end of the installation (after downloading for about a day and only getting about 15% done, and since launcher doesn’t show numbers over the progress bar I have no idea why it’s so damn slow). I wanted to help test but I am in the same boat

Do you use the KCD downloader?

I´m wondering because:

I thought the downloader has a bug, and it´s only possible to install the game on C:\

Yes, im using KCD downloader. I played almost 5 hours in E drive. Then i uninstalled a game because its kept crashing when i started it and now i have tryed reinstall 6 times. And yes, i have tryed C drive too. Nothing Works, really love the game btw, can´t wait full version. But i try again in C drive. I let u know.

EDIT:
Still same probleem. Game is now in C drive. I downloaded launcher from your website and that laucher allows to install E drive too but then the game dont go in game folder. Files are just messed up in E drive. And when i deinstalled first time that game from E drive, this cleaned my E drive. Like 400GB gone, all my installed games but i dont think that is problem.

Could you please elaborate on how this was fixed if possible? I can’t seem to sword and sheild fight with beginner opponents so far.

i have same problem. My pc intel core i5 3450 , Nvidia gtx 660 ti,8gb ram,win 7

Same here (BETA). After training I ask to fight versus an opponent and, after oppoenent choose, the screen become black but UI is still there and FPS are showing numbers, I’ve waited a lot of time but nothing happens. To end the application i have to Alt-F4 it.
