They are not saying a final NO to steam keys in the future. They just can’t right now. Maybe they will be able to after a few months. I also hope they do.
just go to Warhorse Studios\KCD_Beta\Bin\Win64 and launch KindomCome.exe… this worked for me…

Yay, works! 
I have no email with a key and when I go to the get the game page it seems to want me to pay again.
Any idea what I’m screwing up?
Go to the main page. It should look like this here.
Now in the top right corner click on the
Next you have to sign in. It should look like this.
Once you’ve signed in, click on “Go To Your Profile”.
From there on you just have to start the download.
Hope this helps you out.
Edit: Well, since you have it on Steam, you probably don’t need to care about the instructions.

Oh crap! I’m new to steam and finally punched “play” and it responded by telling me that it’s downloading now (but with 4 hours to go - arrrrgggghhhh - stuck on a slow internet connection)
I don’t have the file bin\win64 folder or kindomCome.exe. did this issue get fixed already?
Does Soldier tier not receive beta access? or am I just not getting the download button for some reason?
Hi, i am just trying install and launch beta. Game launcher was downloaded just now 20160304-0815 but after installation it says “system cant find something”

I get the missing file error too. When I run the exe from Win64 folder I get error Unable to verify your license, try run again game activation from KCD launcher. What now?

1. Hi there, ive installed it with launcher to and get the same issue:
"Failed to launch the Game.
The System cannot find the File specified."
So whats the solution for this ??
2. and if i go manually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Warhorse Studios\KCD_Beta\Bin\Win64
and klick the KingdomCome.exe… it follows the issue
" Unable to verify your license, try run again activation from KCD launcher."

I’m the opposite of most people here - I have an (unused) Steam key which I was given for the alpha, but would rather have the standalone launcher version. Any chance of a swap?
the beta is out for consoles too?

Hello @nubchops, thank you for your support. Unfortunately you are right, Soldiers are getting the final game, but the Beta is from Knight Tier and up. 
Hello @Helena, unfortunately I have to disappoint you here. This are two different systems, and we can not swap them.
