Bianca's (Bianka's) Ring Missing After v1.3.1 Patch

Just like all the other reports of it, along with other items, being deleted from your personal storage chest after each update, it happened again. I loaded all those old saves to check if it was even still in the game and it is, it’s just gone if you had it in your chest (not sure about in your inventory) during any of the patches.

As a side note, in the English version of the game I could almost swear it was originally called Bianka’s Ring prior to v1.2.5, then called Bianca’s Ring for a time until v1.3.1, and now it is currently called Bianka’s Ring again. The character, in the English PC version is named Bianca. Maybe I’m just imagining it…

It may seem like a trivial thing, but it’s the abundance of small issues like this one that are quickly causing me to lose all interest in continuing to play this game, even though I love it, and have hundreds of hours in it already.

Confirming that Bianca’s Ring is also now missing from my personal storage after Patch 1.3.1 update via Steam on PC.

The Ring is not the only thing I am missing.

This Far I Noticed:
St. George’s Sword,
Noble Sword,
Executioner’s Sword are missing to.

Checked some Saves they are gone from Saves where I had em Stored in the Chest or in Horse Inventory.

I believe they removed any of the armor or weapons that were associated with chests they deemed too overpowered. I still had my Warhorse armor collection, but I had intentionally not gone after any of the chests with the best items. I’m not sure what all else got deleted, as I was mostly just collecting better bows and arrows for a time when I progressed enough to use them.

Regarding Bianca’s Ring, I went back to the point in the game where you find it, and it’s indeed there and you can take it, but it’s once again called Bianka’s Ring. My guess, at this point, is the item’s internal ID changed, possibly due to the naming issues I mentioned in the original post (if I wasn’t just imagining it), which removed it from anyone that already had it.

If my theory is correct and there’s two (or more) different item IDs making their way around the development builds for the same item (Bianca’s/Bianka’s Ring), then a possible fix would be to include both (all of them), that way anyone with it would still have it, regardless of which one they originally picked up.

Bianca’s Ring
St. George’s Sword,
Noble Sword,

The Sword is quite strong but I stole it during a quest so its not just found.
It’s earned and should not be on the "bad op items from too strong chests list"
speacially after the quest is done and the guys go back to Kuttenberg you can’t get it anymore.
So its there to get stolen and you have to do it at a specific time during a quest and shortly after.
So I don’t agree with removeing it.

Is it totally insane that I don’t want to continue playing until they fix this so that all of my items I left off with in v1.2.5 are still where I left them when I play again?

I haven’t saved the game since v1.3.1 was released in the hopes that they would quickly patch this because I fear if I keep playing without my items that when they actually do fix this the game will act like I never had them and I’d have to lose too much progress to go back to my old saves…

I really don’t want to have to resort to installing a cheat mod to add my items back in, but I’m considering it just so I can get back to playing the game I love…

Same here. I know it’s just an item in a game but because it’s Bianca’s I would love to have it back.

All I know is we’d better finally get this ring back when v1.4 is released… along with the random encounters, the removal of odd sound effects coming from Henry at inappropriate times, fixed stealth and stealth kills, and everything else that’s currently making the game unplayable!

It’s like an abusive relationship… even when we treat it nice the game does nothing but hurt us, and yet we just keep coming back to it because we love it so much.

Please don’t make things disappear in the 1.4 update again. I just started a new game in 1.3 after the 1.2 update removed some of my items.

I have emailed you guys this problem a month ago and this is still happening. Please don’t waste my time again of having to restart after every update.

v1.3.4 is here and it genuinely feels better overall, but Bianca’s Ring is still missing. Do I really want to go back to a save from before I picked it up just so I can put this keepsake back in my chest? Not really…

Does anyone know if you can use a console command to put it back in the game without installing anything like the Cheat mod?

Yep, same thing happened for me. Been paranoid for a while thinking I may have sold it by mistake but I was pretty sure it was because of the parch, wondered if they made it a random silver ring and it merged with my stack or it just disappeared.

Oh yeah St John sword too, not only do I miss one, but both of them, yes I had 2 in my chest, one from Neuhof, the other from the treasure to be found with map, both gone. Same with my 3 magdebourg cuirass… Basically anything that was in that Neuhof chest was removed even the multiple copies I found elsewgere. Ok they removed the chest content, fine, but the other copies? No way!

Also I’d like to know where you normaly find a Raven’s beak or an arching bascinet because I don’t remember seeing any anywhere else.

As a compulsive hoarder this game give me PTSD.

Summary

Erik in the die is cast quest. It’s behind Erik’s desk. I looted the chest and hid the stuff in a chest in the building next to Erik’s house before being captured. The chest disappears if you don’t get it before being captured.

I only lost the shield that was outside the chest near neuhof. I couldn’t unlock it so I took the shield although I already had one. I think it’s wrong for the devs to remove people’s items.
